I am a big fan of world building, and I always wanted to make a world for D&D. I made a pretty standard world called Azabas, but now I want to make something new. And I need your help to decide the design.
LORE OF TANMAR
In the beginning, there were only a few beings. Tani, the Sky Father, and Mara, the Earth Mother. Together, they formed the World- Tanmar. And their children were the races that exist today, who happily roamed the world their parents had created. However, there was one other: Aberros. He hated peace and harmony, and was god of chaos. He could not harm Tani or Mara, since they were immortal, but he could harm their children. So, Aberros created his own children- evil, hateful beings designed to cause Tanmar's children suffering. So, this is how the peoples of Tanmar were set in their eternal war.
HUMANS
Tanmar's fertile Bhakkia region is in the shadow of the Icecrag Range. Hilly and with good farmland, the humans live in small, communal tribes. They are known as Bhakkii, and they hunt and farm on these great hills and plains. However, the villainous Rekloki gnoll tribes to the east and the Dire Elves to the west make life hard. As an adaptation, some Bhakkii migrated to the Undercaves of Craal, and those who stayed on the surface unlocked the magic of power runes in the form of tattoos. They honor the first human, Anraek, for her bravery and magical prowess.
GNOLLS
Evil hyena demons, and the most monstrous of Aberros's spawn, the gnolls seek nothing more than to slaughter and eat the good races of Tanmar. They dwell in the thick, swampy woods of Rekloka, and honor the first gnoll, Yin'ghlackgh, and her legendary defeat of the first giant, Gahlbanni. When gnolls cannot find food, they fall to cannibalism and decay. "Food is life" is the creed of most gnolls. They use magic as a means to kill and get food, obviously. They begrudgingly ally themselves with the Dire Elves on the other side of Bhakkia, only because they are both spawn of Aberros and they both hate goodness.
ELVES
There are only two kinds of elves in Tanmar: Green Elves and Dire Elves. Green Elves are basically wood elves, except they are very druidic, and live in the Great Forest of Alvonnia. Dire Elves are monstrous, and can transform into wolves whenever they want, as they hunt in their taiga of Dekhlurse. The first Green Elf and the first Dire Elf were brothers- Alaesan and Dirven. The two brothers were the best of friends, until Dirven realized his powers were greater than his brother's, and tried to kill him.
This is basically all I have, so could you please help me with the following questions?
Since I know I won't keep them all, what races should I keep?
If I make races up, what should they be like?
What are the traditions of these races?
History of Tanmar, what is it?
Thank you for helping, and please don't post anything hateful or innapropriate for 12-year-olds like me.
Since you have two big deities who created the races, one based around sky and the other earth, why not have races which closer resemble one parent or the other's domain? Earth and Air Genasi could be far more common, Earth Genasi referred to as Mara's Favorites and Air Genasi referred to as Tani's Favorites, children especially blessed by the gods. They could have two different cultures which each highly revere their patron, and perhaps get into more fights than necessary on which is the higher power. Aarakocra could also make good Mara worshippers, and dwarves and goliaths could be Tani worshippers.

Good idea! If Genasi are classified that way, Fire would be for Tani and Water would be for Mara. This classification might cut halflings out of my world, though.
If you are going to have tieflings be former demons that turned good, you could also have aasimar be angels that, not necessarily turned bad, just in case a player wants to be one but has a different sense of justice or disagrees with a god on a point so much that they are banished.
Nova Spheris Is a monastery/Observatory located on one of the highest mountains of the Icecrag range. Worshipers of Tani make pilgrimages to the place during the summer. In the winter a conclave is held of the leaders of the faith, during the winter it is said the sky is clear enough to see into the skyfathers realm and by doing so they receive visions of the future

That is very smart. Angels would probably be related in some way to Tani, since they can fly. Tani is lawful neutral, so maybe the angels disobeyed some law. Aberros is most likely chaotic evil, so the demons that become tieflings would either be lawful or good.

This helps a lot with the planar model I am working on. Since Mara is the Earth, there probably won't be a plane for her. The sky itself is a plane called Spheris, where Tani looks down on the world. Deep beneath the farthest layer of the Undercaves of Craal, there is a plane of darkness and death: Aberron, where demons and Aberros dwell. Around these planes is the Elemental Chaos of Primordia, and around that is the misty Ethereal Plane. Thanks!

Is the world flat and people can just walk onto the planes?

The world is disk-shaped, surrounded above by the dome of sky (Spheris), where good guys go when they die, and below with the dome of doom (Aberron) where bad guys go when they die. Around that is the Elemental Chaos, and around that is the Ethereal Plane. You can't go to other planes from Tanmar without magic, but you probably could reach Primordia from Spheris or Aberron.
Maybe the lizardfolk live underground in this world, and they could be the ones who torment the Undercave gnomes.
That sounds kinda like a kobold. If you want you can have kobolds and lizardfolk be like goblins and hobgoblins (I heard somewhere that goblins were originally hobgoblin slaves). Maybe the dragons of Tanmar convinced the kobolds to break off and gave them draconic powers for doing so.

Do you think the dragons of this world should be traditional D&D dragons, or should they be like the dragons of Far Eastern myth?

I am an Arachpriest, Cat Cultist, Sauce Monk, Angel of Death, and First Spinjitzu Master.
I play Thirteen the necromancer elf, Timber the tabaxi child, and more at the tavern. Hope you like yams!
Oh yeah, don't forget to be kind and loving and stuff. Not on during weekends.
Tieflings could be former demons who, upon gaining a good alignment were banished to the material plane
What planes do you think should exist in this world? So far I think there shouldn't be many planes since there are only, like, 3 gods.

The undercavers can be gnomes
Good idea! Since there are no drow in this world, I'll have to come up with a new race to threaten the guys in Craal.

Most of the races pay homage to the first of their kind, so maybe the first gnome is Craal himself, which the Undercaves are named after?

firstly Aberron... sounds like Eberron
secondly the disc shaped world with domes of sky and underworld is close to greek mythology, which is awesome
That was intended, I hope you like it!
