Mass death (dragons) or mass subjugation (aberrations)? Define "dangerous". (I'd rather die than be dominated.)
Also, we're still missing the qualifications of the scenarios. Different things are more dangerous in different situations. Natural disasters seemed to have the most widespread devastation.
...and 1 vote is a margin of error, not "we all agree".
Abberations are more like enemies in First-Person-Shooter enemies, they can evolve and change through time, while dragons are like the bosses. They never really change through the game, or through time.
That's ironic considering Aberrations are usually shown to be more alien and one track minded. Many care only to dominate everything, or only care to corrupt everything, or only care to destroy everything. Not to mention it is much harder to view an aberration as being able to deviate from their normal mentality. We can imagine a yuan-ti being able to go against its evil culture or a Drow rejecting Lolth's influence, but what about a Mind Flayer or an Abeloth? It's not to say its impossible, but what makes these creatures so dangerous is that they can't fully be understood by normal humanoids.
Dragon on the other had have been shown in various editions that they can grow and change over time, picking up new hobbies, changing goals, and adapting their morals to their experiences in their life. Funny enough, Dragons are more like humanoids then their appearance would lead to believe. They can have different morals, philosophical views, ambitions, fears, flaws and strengths. They may be powerful creatures of raw magical and elemental potential, but they are still mortal and that's why, while not always easy, its easier to understand a Dragon's mindset then it is an Aberration. They are as capable of being anything they wish to be as humans or elves or dwarves or the various other humanoids that showcase free will and are willing to break the traditional molds of the beings that made them.
In that regard, both can be very dangerous. Abberations are alien and often times unknowable, dipping into that cosmic horror and Lovecraftian style of horror. Dragons meanwhile can fit just about any other kind of dangerous theme you want, being it natural disaster, puppet master, mindless monster, or something else.

Plus Dragons have worked together and when they did the ruled half of the multiverse and because Metallic Dragons are lawful good they should still be able to work together if the need arises (like if Aberrations started a massive war) but they haven't because of their good nature.

Do minions count? Dragons can have cultists and kobolds. Aberrations might have an entire city under control - people with intelligence. Undead can have growing legions of mindless thralls - legions that keep getting bigger as people and creatures die.
If multiplying the individual monster into groups of monsters counts (as with this talk about dragons working together), minions should count and that changes the criteria significantly.

True but some dragons are chaotic
Which only means that they will absolutely still work together as long as it suits their purposes to do so and then they’ll likely either betray or abandon their “allies” the moment that better suits their purposes.
Dragons are able to deal the most damage for their size, aside from maybe the Tarrasque.

If dragons working together count, then minions of other creature types count, too.
Make a decision: One creature or everything that comes with facing a creature - even a slogfest to get to the creature?
You can't say "several dragons" and say "just one powerful Undead or Fiendish lord" who may have replenishable legions at its command. Make a choice.

Very true
Yeah, but not all dragons are lawful either. They don't have a really hierarchy, only that the older you are, the more physically strong you are.

Not true. Me is gonna make a Dragonlance comment here, but in the first book, and old, demented red dragon female fights a younger MALE red dragon, and the male is stronger and younger. The female dragon had lost her children in the beginning of the war, so when she heard the Dragon Highlord say, "I will kill all of the children!" She attacks the younger male, and defeats him by slamming him into a cliff at high speed, while also dying herself. This proves that one, dragons' age doesn't make them stronger, just smarter and more cunning. Also, chromatic dragons can do good things. Just like how Metallic Dragons can do horrible things.

I'm not going to argue with you. But if you look at the dragon stat blocks in the MM, they older they are, the more powerful they are. Also, the Dragonlance books seemed boring and somewhat generic to me.

I just feel like it's a somewhat stereotypical fantasy setting, and settings like Ebberon, Wildemount, and Spelljammer are far more interesting to me. And yes, that's what I meant about the dragons.

Well........... It's trying to play up to high fantasy, so I get it. The world is slightly bland, but the characters are really good, and that's what drives the series home for me.
