So, the new dark tides of Bilgewater gives us a few new creatures, two of which have caught my attention. Wharf rat and powder monkey. Would you allow someone to have one of these as a familiar? I would love to play as a fire genasi evocation wizard, who has a powder monkey familiar. Or dragonborn efreeti patron warlock. Or lurker in the deep with wharf rat. Just some ideas.

Wharf Rat should be fine. I would probably lower the Gunpowder Excretion to 1d6 and limit the Flash Powder to once per short rest for the Powder Monkey.
