What does everyone use for character portraits? Do you just google and Pinterest till you find something you like, or use an app of some kind to create them?
The past couple days ive been creating faces on BG3's early access and doing screen shoots and cropping. Just wondering what everyone else is using
I usually find stuff on Art Station. It's an excellent resource with so many great artists. If I can't find something there I usually just hit up google images or, like you said, pintest/imgur/etc
i usually either use google images or the genie locked in my storage room

Check out my Disabled & Dragons Youtube Channel for 5e Monster and Player Tactics. Helping the Disabled Community and Players and DM’s (both new and experienced) get into D&D. Plus there is a talking Dragon named Quill.
My D&D team is composed of 3 artists. Our DM actually sells icons for use on Roll20 so we get access to her full library of icons for NPCs and monsters and stuff.
Hero forge now lets you make custom minis in color, and screen shot your creations, even if you don’t order the mini.
If you want to support Heroforge and cut out a step or two of the process, starting a pro subscription to Heroforge gives the option to create VTT icons and uh... to be honest not too much more, but it's mostly a nice way to support the site if you use their services and feel guilty about getting so much for free.
Pinterest is my fave place. Sometimes I just look through a DnD book tho, as some of the art is so good. And since I love the game, League of legends characters look amazing, and most have enough skins to change them slightly. Plus you have some badass music to go along with it 👌. But Pinterest is the best.

Google Image Search, or now that Hero Forge supports color, I just make a mini in that and then screenshot / crop.
