What's everyone's thoughts on the Bilgewater content? I'm... not impressed, honestly. The only one I would even think about playing is Renegade, and that's only because it's pretty similar to gunslinger (I don't think its a good thing, though).

It's ok Ranger, you'll always be cool to me.. Unless druid gets another use for its wild shape charges.

I don't understand the source content wherever it came from, and I think the grammar could be more simplistic, and the subclasses more balanced.
The magic items seem like the most balanced part of the whole thing, but they're hard to measure.
It also could have something to do with Bligewater and that could be why there is this gap in UA. I feel like on subclasses we are good, but i really feel like a book like that need something else to accompany it kinda like how Xanathars had the racial feats and traps revisited. Things that we could see in UA form before the book actually comes
Bilgewater is only on D&D Beyond, and I don't think it's official, right? That probably has nothing to do with the UA release schedule.

I don't think so. I'm not sure, though. I know James Haeck helped write it, and he has worked on D&D 5e books before, but also writes primarily for D&D Beyond.
It wouldn't interfere with UA. If it did, they would say so.

They would call it playtest, or group it like the MTG content. Calling it Partnered means it can't be official

Yeah, I think it's just DDB. There's nothing about it on the Wizards website.

But either way, it isn’t UA content. So who thinks what will be in the next UA when it finally drops? My thought is it will be some way to bring back the Aberrant Mind (with selectable levels of mucus) and some of the other older “psionic” 🙄 subclasses in response to the survey feedback.
I think it will probably be a return to psionics. If we do get this, we can probably expect to not see it in Xanathar's 2.0, and instead probably in a Dark Sun book.

Well, that’s how it should be IMHO. Psions are as integral to Athas as Artificers to Eberron.

Yeah, but they also could be in Xanathar's 2.0. Gith and Mind Flayers are important to Planescape, so I could have seen them in that book as well, but reprinted in a Dark Sun book.

I believe that we will see another pass at Psionic subclasses in the near future as well as a Psionic class of some kind with another go at Psionic themed spells. As far as other non Psion related UA material we will see in the future, I think we will have a better idea after tomorrow.

I hope the mystic returns
Then prepare for huge disappointment.
Yeah, the mystic is 99.99% not coming back, but maybe a new psionic class? (Crosses fingers.)

Hey, there's a new statement from WotC that mentions an upcoming D&D book coming out this year. (Crossing fingers for Xanathar's 2.0!) Here's the link to the post in which I quoted it:

Subclasses | Races | Spells | Magic Items | Monsters | Feats | Backgrounds
It is "partnered content" created with the help the DnDBeyond team and is unofficial.
That being said, it is unbalanced and is equal to some of the worst UA content in my opinion.
She/Her Player and Dungeon Master
Unbalanced, yes.
I love the flavor/mechanics of the Wildcard Rogue...though I'd likely insert it into the Bard class, thematically.
It would be better flavored if Dragonchess was based off intelligence
