Spell wrought works closer to a scroll, as it's the one tattoo that is consumed by use. I don't think you can replace a full spell caster by tattoos.
that being said, it also has some key differences (both advantages and disadvantages) from an scroll, including needing attunement (but able to share that attunement), it is usable by any class not just members of the appropriate spellcasting class and most importantly it only disappears once the spell ends, so if you have an tattoo that stores glyph of warding you can cast glyph of warding, and for as long as that glyph remains undisturbed, the tattoo remains and you can cast the glyph over and over and over without any fear, or you could get tattoo of find greater steed and now even non bards, non paladins and non wish users can have an glorious compaion

Can I use a tattoo as a ritual drawing requirement ??? so when I cast this ritual spell, the tattoo just disappears.
Casting as a Ritual is supposed to be “resource free” why in the hell would you want to take 10+ minutes to cast a ritual that would be free to cast, and then still have it eat the tattoo?!? That makes no sense.

i think your response is mixing the permanent tattoos with the one-use (spellwrought tattoos). you're replying to a comment on spellwroughts.
the spellwroughts don't need attunement...they're very similar to a scroll, but way more powerful (imo) as there's no need to be able to read the tattoo or otherwise be able to cast hte spell, like you have with a scroll. spellwroughts, as currently designed, give any character the ability to cast any/all cantrips - 5th level spells....and like i said, if you go with the size of only 'up to 6 inches' for the common ones, you can have hundreds of the cantrips and 1st level spells on your body (the larger spells have more reasonable space requirements (but still too generous imo). This is all assuming you have that many needles of course.

yes i know that any class can use the tattoos since i specifically mentioned it, however i did not originally notice that they lack the attunement property.
However you are also missing out on the fact that tattoos must ether be given out by the dungeon master or crafted by the players, and in that case it is significantly faster and cheaper to make a scroll compared to making an tattoo (which requires the normal magic item crafting rules). Crafting normal magic items also requires you to have an specific formula, and to both track down and kill a single monster to make the tattoo itself.
Using the rules in xanatars guide to everything, to craft an scroll of eldrich blast, it will cost 15 gold and take a single days work (8 hours) and all you need is to know the cantrip in the first place. To make an tattoo of eldrich blast, you need 25 gold peices, half an workweek of time (2.5 work days or 20 hours) and to even begin you must find the formula (treated by the DMG as an common or uncommon magic item itself) and kill an creature whose challenge rating ranges from 1 through 3 so perhaps an mimic, a ogre, or an mummy. That is a lot of extra effort that might not be worth it at all when you think about it, if the dm does not give the players tattoos they must make them on their own, an time consuming and costly endeavor to say the least, something that is once again governed by the DM. If you feel that the tattoos are op (not really considering there are a few drawbacks) then try not to give them to your party, or give only an very limited number of spell tattoos and make them an really special resource that can be used to cast spells that they otherwise might not have access to.
that being said i do agree that the size tattoos take up should be increased by an significant margin, so that they are a bit more limited in scope

This is not to invalidate your point, it's an excellent point, but to make the scroll, you also need to have proficiency in arcana
