Batman would probably be more possible to make, assuming you're only using published material. You could multiclass shadow monk and ranger or something and you're there.
If unearthed arcana is on the table though then making iron man would be as simple as being an Armorer Artificer. I guess it comes down to what playstyle you want. Iron Man would essentially be an armored spell caster while batman would be more of a melee skirmisher.

Both sound like they'd be fun.
I used magic items ua and the teifling race + multiclassing (blood hunter+rogue+fighter)

Batman. Batman is the greatest superhero of all time because no matter what, he always finds a way to succeed. Just in case he ever needs to he has figured out how to eliminate every member of the Justice League in case they go evil. He could do the same to the Avengers. In fact, the only Hero in all of existence that has any chance to beat Batman is Spider-Man because Spidey Sense. The Bat may be one with the shadows, but spidey sense would still prevail. And Peter Parker is just as smart as Bruce Wayne.
It's funny. I've gone into detail on how much fun it is to imagine Batman in D&D, but it never tires. Here's how I've described him in the past:
Batman is tough in 5e as well, because of all the level dips. Gear is important too. Background is some combination of noble and haunted one. He also has a form of indefinite madness. I'd say a LN but the classes are tough. Thematically, he's a vengeance paladin, easy. Shadow monk gives him the ability to disappear and move about the darkness. Finally, he must be an inquisitive rogue, being the greatest detective and specializing in sneaky attacks. Observant and skulker feats. Gear is fun to think about. The Batmobile is a Tormentor, from BG:DiA. He also has a utility belt of holding, boots of striding and springing, bracer of batarangs, cloak of the bat, dread helm, dust of disappearance, eversmoking bottle, goggles of night, and a spies' murmur pair. I may have missed some. Alfred is also his personal (very high-level) artificer.
Iron Man, on the other hand, is little more than an Artificer.

Batman is half Shadow Monk, half Inquisistive Rogue, half Battlemaster, half Artilerist Artificer, and half Paladin of Vengeance. Yes, five halves because he’s that darned good.
I'd actually be a bit more interested to see Iron Man realized because he just seems like he would be a harder character to do in D&D, so there's more challenge in translating his skills and abilities to the game.

"Little more than?" You do not seem to understand how many features have been built into that armour over the years, lol.... or how powerful it is when properly portrayed (and not falling apart on single hits or always out of power as it seems to be in most of the MCU)
An overpowered artificer... but still just an artificer. Batman combines a detective, martial artist, and stalker. I'm not talking about power here, just complexity.

Artillerist? Guns are sorta item two on the list of things Batman doesn't do, right behind murder.

Well, he’s clearly part Artificer as he designed and built: The Batcave, The Batmobile, The Bat Plane, The Bat Speedboat, The Bat Computer, his Utility Belt, and all of those “wonderful toys” that full it including, Baterangs and the Bat Grappling Launcher. He’s clearly neither an Alchemist, nor an Armorer (since everybody agrees that’s Iron Man) so unless you want to re-skin Robin as a Steel Defender.... 🤷♂️
PS- The Bat Plane does have a Gatling Gun loaded with Kryptonite laced rounds just in case Superman goes Dark Side.
I don't think Batman needs to necessarily have the artificer class in his character to justify his ability to invent things. If anything he just needs to be proficient in tinkerer's tools. If anything, the main problem with creating batman in D&D is justifying all the different tool proficiencies he would clearly have.

I voted for Iron man, because he's iron man, but batman is cool as well. Batman's build is probably a bit more difficult, and you might have to ignore some rules or use Class Feature Variants, but he could also turn out good as well.

Mystic is dead, so that no longer applies. And quite frankly, the D&D wiki is a useless piece of garbage and should generally be ignored in its entirety.
The wiki is pretty bad, but most of this page at least is still relevant. Without the mystic, you are only going 40920 feet per second. A guy being able to do a lot of stuff is still easier to justify than this.
(A lot of the stuff in the guide bends rules, but is still kinda fun to read.)
I have made characters before and would like to see how you guys would do it and flavor it

Wot?
I like iron man more, but I think Batman would be a better Dnd character. I’d do him as a rogue

I love that it’s easier to justify Wishes, Beholders and Anthropomorphic Cat People capable of running 500ft/s in D&D than a guy just being good at lots of stuff.
