No, unless there is some feature that specifically allows it. When you are using Green Flame Blade, you aren't taking the attack action, you are taking the Cast a Spell action, and therefore do not gain any additional attacks per the Extra Attack feature. Eldritch Knights are one class that somewhat get around this eventually by being able to make an attack as a bonus action when casting a cantrip as their action.
One of my parties has a war magician who when committing to melee, carries a net in his off hand to use in AOO in effort to keep a target in "flame on" range when its their time. He came up with that himself when self-determined that it can't be used as an AOO in the character's present build. Yes the action economy of a net likely gets tangled up in this, but I let it go, so to speak.
With the Magic Initiate feat, any class that gets access to Extra Attack can do this (unless you're a raging Barbarian).
That is incorrect. Casting green-flame blade requires the [Tooltip Not Found] action, Extra Attack only works with the Attack action. As InquisitiveCoder stated in their post>>, only a 6th level or higher Bladesinger can make an Extra Attack and cast a Cantrip as part of the same action.
See Title.
Not unless you're a 6th level Bladesinger. Casting a spell normally uses the Cast A Spell action, not the Attack action.

Good to see you're still lurking the DDB posts, Sposta.
You're right, I had gotten the "bonus attack" ability of Eldritch Knight and V. Bard mixed up with what is technically an Extra Attack. Silly me.
Yup, lol. At least until I piss someone off enough to get permanently banned anyway.
