So my group is going to start a murder mystery campaign next year taking place in a dark and mysterious town where odd phenomenons happen and ppl go missing is the norm.
I would like ideas for a creative character build. I'm not looking to be Sherlock Holmes though. I'm thinking maybe some who is one with the shadows and possibly a Dhampir, or hexblood or elf Shadar-kai kind of like Blade or the complete opposite idk I'm up for any unique ideas.
One of the really fun things IMO about stories like Clue or Knives Out is that the different characters' personalities really clash with each other. It might be worthwhile to do some planning with the group to ensure a wide range of personalities and perspectives. Obviously you don't want a party that all hates each other, but some friction is good.
