My character has booming blade and a rapier to do damage mostly, and I figured with swashbuckler you don’t have to worry about opponents opportunity attacks so I think lightning lure could be good crowd control.
I like Shocking Grasp to nullify Reactions personally. Allows for more dynamic movement on the battlefield.
Shocking grasp would be good but swashbuckers already get a free disengage with Fancy Footwork, so lightning lure might actually give more battlefield control in this case.
Keep in mind that there are other (often nastier or more annoying) Reactions besides opportunity attacks. Unless you have specific party combos planned (like dragging enemies through damaging spell areas), I'd go with SG.

What are your thoughts.

(Warlock) The Swarm
Lightning Lure is nearly useless, IMO. I've yet to find a build that it's actually good on.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Play an air genasi and take both. The extra movement and lightning resistance would also be on brand.
