I love drow, rogues and Chinese weapons. I mean come on, rope darts are awesome.
My current character is a drow shadow monk, with a "unique" honor code (give him some time, he's working through some stuff). He also sucks on the socialization side of interacting with all other living creatures. which is very fun to RP.
Ok, I think you're asking because you assume that being put to sleep and gaining the unconscious condition are the same thing? They aren't. Sleep is just one way you can become unconscious.
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Does this mean you can't be forced to sleep or you can't be killed by magic?
PHB doesn't say but I'm assuming it's the first one.
You can't be forced asleep by magic. That's it. You can die by any means any other character can, including magic. You can be drugged and put to sleep that way. They just can't use magic to put you to sleep.
If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

That what I was thinking exactly. Thx for the info.
So is an object that puts you to sleep the same as magic putting you to sleep? I'm trying to justify putting an entire domain of delight into hibernation because the archfey is hoarding their magical essence to fight an army of fomorians.
Technically the object would be using magic to put you to sleep (I'm assuming you don't mean someone went round hitting everyone over the head with it) so it wouldn't put the Fey to sleep however the story doesn't necessarily have to follow the mechanics of a game so you can just say someone found a special spell that could put fey to sleep
It could be more of a coma, based on the "hoarding their essence" thing you mentioned. Maybe rather than acting like some sort of drug, it's siphoning their vitality. Fey aren't immune to exhaustion, so that would work by the rules.

Sleep is not the same as being dead, so no, it doesn't protect you from being killed.
