The Legendary Bundle sells all the books for 15% off, however the core books are 33% off this week. Can I buy the core books individually and then get a discount on the legendary bundle or would it still ask me to pay the full price?
If you buy the core books now, it will cost around 60 $. If you decide tomorrow or in a month to buy the legendary bundle, 60 $ will be subtract from the total cost of the legendary bundle.
So it would be better to wait to pay full price if you think you might buy the Bundle? That seems odd. It seems like the credit should be based on their value inside the bundle.
If you wait or not, it will still cost the total price of the bundle either way. However, if they come out with other sales on content later which exceed the 15% discount of the bundle, then it would be better to already have the bundle bought and then you can take full advantage of the sale.
Basically, sale prices don't apply to the bundle. So if you have the bundle sooner, you can take full advantage of sales that come later.
Nope, it makes no difference whether you wait or not - you still pay a total of $279.99 for the legendary bundle.
I understand that, but say you buy the books now, you'd get a $60 credit to the Legendary Bundle later...
If you wait til the sale ends you'd get a $90 credit...
That's a difference of $30 isn't it? Better to wait until the sale ends and get the full credit.
I get where your logic is coming from but if you wait you also spend an extra $30 on the core rule books so in the end you are still paying $279.99 no matter when you buy other products

If you buy now, you pay $60 for the 3 books ($20x3), if you wait you'll pay $90 ($30x3). And then whatever you paid will be applied as the credit toward the bundle. So either pay $30 more and get another $30 off the bundle or vice versa.

You could probably try to slowly acquire all the books when they go on sale over 15% if not needed right away. Wouldn't be able to rightly predict when that would happen for each though.
I'd hope to see this policy changed and full value applied toward the bundle. This is what Fantasy Grounds already does operating in a similar market space.
This just makes you feel like if you buy anything on sale you're giving part of that discount back if you go buy the bundle at a later date.
It's an incredibly anti-consumer stance that leaves a sour taste in your mouth.

You will get a credit of the exact the same amount you paid the core books.

It means if you pay $60 for the core books, you'll get credited $60 towards the legendary bundle. If you pay $90, you'll get credited $90.

Yeah, ok I see what you're saying. It's just a matter of when you're paying that extra $30.

Basically, you're trading one discount over 3 books for a slightly smaller discount over every book.

Consider that the 15% discount on the Legendary Bundle is for future releases as well.
