Hey All, just to note, I am incredibly bad a tech stuff. I never even heard of Twitch before making a DDB account & I just learned of discord two weeks ago yet still don't know what it is so be cool if this is a dumb question. Here you go. Can you have more than one DDB account? I wanted to buy a second one. The first one has a master tier sub & I want the second to just have the hero tier sub so my sister can use it. It would be on the same credit card if that makes a difference. Thanks for any help.
Having more than one DDB account associated to the same email address is not possible .for the simple reason that there needs to be a different login name for each account, but as long as you use another email to create the new account, I see no issue in having it.
It's not like there is some possible scam to be made if you have access to two accounts.

I am just buying it for my sister to use. I will not be using it, I will just be paying for it. I want her to be able to have access the the books I have purchased. I figured I would have to use an alternate email address. That's fine. I just would hate to make the second account & then have an issue with DDB people. ( I hear they take away your GI Joe toys).
Thanks for the help. I would like a mod to give me a more concrete answer tho...no offence.
Practically speaking, D&D Beyond are fine with your sister having an account, where you pay for her subscription. The terms of service stand though with regards account sharing.
The wording at issue from what Stormknight linked to is:
Unless expressly permitted in writing by Wikia, you may not sell, rent, lease, share or provide access to your account to anyone else, including without limitation charging anyone for access to administrative rights on your account.
So if you make her account, add the subscription and then share the password, it would be in violation of that section. If she makes the account, logs in, and then you buy the subscription on it (either by physically being there or giving her your CC info) it would be fine.
Okay, thanks. Glad I asked. First they come for your GI Joes...then Transformers...& last...He-Man.
Another thing I am unclear on. If she makes a free account herself & her character is in my campaign, can she still have access to the books I purchased? Or does she have to have a sub? Someone told me that she would have to have a sub to use my books.
Sorry if the questions are dumb. I am not good at this.
The things she would need a subscription to do are to remove ads, make unlimited characters, and use public homebrew that isn't yours. Subscription Comparison Here
Content sharing with a master subscription into a campaign allows all players in it (regardless of their subscription state) to access your books as well as use your private OR public homebrew (but not other peoples public homebrew that is in your homebrew collection).

I can't see them objecting to you registering and paying for two accounts. But I'm no expert.

She does not need any subscription, but you would need a Master subscription to share your purchased content.
