As I said in the title, I want to set up a dice pool for a variant of mine on the school of necromancy subclass for the wizard. How to do so? My vision is that this feature, "Harvest Life", gives the necromancer a pool of dice equal to their level, they can gain dice whenever they kill a creature with a spell, twice the amount of dice per creature killed when they use a necromancy spell to do kill things, and they can also spend a spell slot as a bonus action and get dice equal to the level of the spell slot. Also as a bonus action, they can heal themselves or others by spending a chosen amount of dice from the pool. Furthermore, the level 14 feature allows them to use all remaining dice to heal themselves as a reaction to dropping to 0 HP. The pool is also refilled after a long rest. How can I create such a feature? Its like how the sorcerer has a tracker tracking the amount of sorcery points they have.
I don't know of a way to add dice to the pool. Everything else can be done with an action. Make sure to set the reset type to long rest. Save the Action. Go back and Edit the Action and a new button appears Add Limited Use Data, go there. Per level you can set whatever calculation.

You would set Number Of Uses to the same as Level.
All the stuff about uses of the points is just in the Action's text.
yes, that is how they get set up. Even battle master maneuvers and superiority dies or set up with actions limited uses and level scaling to increase the diet size. That’s also the same way the Psi Warrior and such work too.
Is there a way to also make these dice change when they reach a certain level. I'm trying to make a sorcerer subclass that gets an extra 1d4 per level but when they reach level 14 they become 1d6, is there a way to make all the d4's into d6's when they reach this level?
Yes. After you create your Action and [SAVE] it, edit that new Action and scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see a new subsection appear labeled “Level Overrides.”
