Is there a limit to homebrew? As of making 64- I think there isn’t. The only actual bad thing is that players will stumble upon them in a campaign that has no relation to the item. A example is my spear to control the tides. In a desert campaign. Another one is my 19th century London campaign where the BBEG was Jack The Ripper. Was not fun to have my PC’s find his razor sharp knives when they searched up another knife.

I don't believe there is a technical limitation to the number of homebrew things you can have. There may be a limit to how much your campaign-mates tolerate though.
No, there is no limit to homebrew, I have hundreds. You can hit [Remove From Collection] on your ‘brews, and that will prevent them from being shared with others, and then add them back to your collection when they are needed. Once a player adds something to their PC, it’ll stay there even if you remove that homebrew from your collection again. That’s the best you can do.

The players would have to run a search of your name when looking for homebrews or when doing an edit of their inventory. Not exactly a guarantee of stumbling on your material. Even if they do you can always tell them that it isn't available in the current campaign.

not yet, but (imo) you should expect it. You make 100 homebrew items and give them to your players, there's a decent chance you or they will have to pay extra to access them. Just something to think about before you go crazy making them.

DDB homebrew has been my hobby since before the pandemic. Most of it's private, I only have 20ish published things.
I am up to the F's in Blackstaff's Book of 1000 Spells:

Hey, I’ve been brewing since pre-pandemic too, it’s my favorite part of the game. But still, damn. 1,200+ is a lot of ‘brews.
