 Alright. Things have been infrequent around here, Gradius is on another hiatus apparently, and don’t buy the Fall of Numenor, it’s just already published stuff from Unfinished Tales, the LotR appendices, etc with random Tolkien notes attached.

 Yeah… Thing is no one even talks about the lore anymore, everyone just goes on about how completely trash the show is. The plot is an insult to writing, the acting is mediocre to awful, the characters are completely terrible, the fight scenes are hilariously bad, virtually every aspect of the show is absolutely atrocious. I won’t get into it, I’ll just refer you to the hundreds of reviews by the biggest reviewers on the planet such as the Guardian, the London Times, the New York Times, etc. Everyone is unanimous: The show is pure shit in every single way.

Anyway, what’s everyone’s favourite region of Middle Earth? Mines Eriador/The North, call it what you like. A vast region of wilderness filled with dark and dangerous areas and scattered with the ruins of dozens of past kingdoms with occasional spots of civilization and peace (The Shire, Bree, Rivendell) is literally my dream home.

 I really like the Grey Havens and also the Withered Heath.  Both extremely cool places.

New LotR movies announced!… I dunno what to think, RoP has really crushed my optimism. On the plus side, it’s Warner Bros. Who made the best movies ever (PJ’s LotR). Apparently PJ is involved in some way too (probably just as a consultant/writer), so it can’t be too bad. And literally anything is better then RoP, so… I guess I’m hoping that it’ll be good, and I really can’t predict what it’s gonna be like. We’ll have to wait and see. 

It’s gonna be set in the Third Age, so I expect we’ll get stuff like Aragorn’s backstory, maybe a Gondor movie starring Boromir, maybe the war of the dwarves and orcs. Maybe even stuff about Arnor and it’s war with Angmar. Who knows. 

Hello. If you want to find interesting information about Tolkien's works, I recommend David Day's books. They are collections of information about middle-earth and they are fun to read. I also enjoy reading books about what inspired Tolkien's writings because they are cool and give me a lot of inspiration for Dnd. I have read the Lord of the Rings books, the Hobbit, Beren and Luthien, will read Tolkien's Sir Gawain and the Green Knight soon (Hopefully), and have seen the movies and watched Rings of Power. and liked it.

 I’ve read a couple David Day books and yeah they were pretty good. Sure, you’re allowed to like RoP. Just be aware that it completely mutilates the lore… Wait no, it just doesn’t have any lore in it besides names, everything else is changed beyond recognition. Mutilation would require the lore at least bearing some resemblance to Tolkien. Anyway, let’s not get into it, I don’t want a big argument.
