Soldaer and Shade are out practicing at the the training ground outside, testing out the new interactive dummies.

Phantom is outside, watching over the children who were playing soccer, a smile on his face.

*She's met Shade, but it was a really quick interaction.*

Caelum wanders out to try the dummies too.

Soldaer hears her approaching *he has a 25 passive perception, lol*, and turns to meet her after clonking the dummy he was attacking one last time over the head, deactivating it for the time being.

"Welcome. I don't think I've had the pleasure yet," he says, his voice smooth and somewhat melodic, as one would expect from a wood elf, but not a drow. *Which he looks like, btw* He sweeps into a polite bow, rapier and shortsword out to his sides. "The name's Soldaer Torrae, Twilight elf ranger of Mielikki and Druid of Eilistraee."

"Why hello, Soldaer. What a pleasure to meet someone such as you. My name is Caelum Argenti, Queen of Argent, the Silver City, and on occasion known as Death's Herald by my many enemies."

Soldaer smiles at the compliment. "Why thank you. The pleasure is mine. I've noticed that most of the magic swords in the tavern seem to be... possessed almost. I'm kinda surprised mine weren't although my rapier here was gifted to me directly by Eilistraee, so maybe there's some sort of blessing on it that protects it from that sort of interference." As he's speaking, he holds up his rapier, the blade of which seems to be made of a single shard of moonstone, and just kinda shrugs. "I have no explanation regarding my shortsword though. It is a Shortsword of Warning i retrieved from the lair of a Green Dragon that attacked my village. Other than that, it doesn't seem to have any special properties."

*Do you actually have an OOC reason? Cause if not, then its just cause we werent online at the same time, and yheyd be joining the swarm*

*For the Rapier, there's going to be latent enchantments that are part of Eilistraee's gift to him that will become apparent later, but for now only activated that protection from tempering. The Shortsword... is interesting. Forged by the Drow at the height of their war against the surface elves, and also has some hidden enchantments, but much darker ones that may challenge Soldaer's purpose once he finds out what the sword has been used for in the past. Lots of rp reasons that I still need to flesh out, but definite reasons. May even be some sentience on part of the Rapier...*

*Ohh, if its sentient, thatd he a fun rp. Itd be hearing whispers of some sort...*

*Right? I have been keeping up, at least a bit, on the swarm of swords, so I know most of what's happening there, but I'm not a 4th-wall-breaker. Not gonna metagame here, lol, as tempting as it may be :D*

Soldaer seems slightly hesitant, but flips it over in his hand, and hands it, hilt first, to Caelum. "Sure. It's served me well for many, many years, so do be careful with it."

Caelum carefully studies the blade for a moment before handing it back.

"It's just... similar to the blades warriors in my world wield."

*FYI, as of right now, it appears as nothing more than a normal Crystal Rapier, except being made out of moonstone and having a protection from interference enchantment on it if you cast Detect Magic on it.*

Soldaer takes it back and slides it, and the shortsword into their sheaths. "Truly? Such swords are usually uncommon in my world, unless they are in the hands of someone who slayed a gemstone dragon, and skilled dragon hunters are few and far between."

"No, it was just similar in shape and material. But they belong to GemBlades, warriors marked by Gem dragons."

*The sword's sentience is still dormant for now, but it will waken soon enough, especially now that the protection enchantment has been activated. Soldaer will be in for quite the surprise when it does, because it'll get a serious power boost, lol.*

*Afternoon all! I'm back for now at least!*

*Hey there! Actives?*

*All of them are available. I don't think Caelum has meet Soldaer and shade yet, has she? If not...*

Soldaer and Shade are out practicing at the the training ground outside, testing out the new interactive dummies.

Phantom is outside, watching over the children who were playing soccer, a smile on his face.

*She's met Shade, but it was a really quick interaction.*

Caelum wanders out to try the dummies too.

Soldaer hears her approaching *he has a 25 passive perception, lol*, and turns to meet her after clonking the dummy he was attacking one last time over the head, deactivating it for the time being.

"Welcome. I don't think I've had the pleasure yet," he says, his voice smooth and somewhat melodic, as one would expect from a wood elf, but not a drow. *Which he looks like, btw* He sweeps into a polite bow, rapier and shortsword out to his sides. "The name's Soldaer Torrae, Twilight elf ranger of Mielikki and Druid of Eilistraee."

"Why hello, Soldaer. What a pleasure to meet someone such as you. My name is Caelum Argenti, Queen of Argent, the Silver City, and on occasion known as Death's Herald by my many enemies."

Soldaer smiles at the compliment. "Why thank you. The pleasure is mine. I've noticed that most of the magic swords in the tavern seem to be... possessed almost. I'm kinda surprised mine weren't although my rapier here was gifted to me directly by Eilistraee, so maybe there's some sort of blessing on it that protects it from that sort of interference." As he's speaking, he holds up his rapier, the blade of which seems to be made of a single shard of moonstone, and just kinda shrugs. "I have no explanation regarding my shortsword though. It is a Shortsword of Warning i retrieved from the lair of a Green Dragon that attacked my village. Other than that, it doesn't seem to have any special properties."

"Intriguing. I myself have little use for swords, though there is one amongst the swarm that holds significance to me. But... may I see that blade?"

She gestures to the moonstone blade.

Soldaer seems slightly hesitant, but flips it over in his hand, and hands it, hilt first, to Caelum. "Sure. It's served me well for many, many years, so do be careful with it."

Caelum carefully studies the blade for a moment before handing it back.

"It's just... similar to the blades warriors in my world wield."

*FYI, as of right now, it appears as nothing more than a normal Crystal Rapier, except being made out of moonstone and having a protection from interference enchantment on it if you cast Detect Magic on it.*

Soldaer takes it back and slides it, and the shortsword into their sheaths. "Truly? Such swords are usually uncommon in my world, unless they are in the hands of someone who slayed a gemstone dragon, and skilled dragon hunters are few and far between."

*OK. It just superficially looks the same.*

"No, it was just similar in shape and material. But they belong to GemBlades, warriors marked by Gem dragons."

*Basically. If a high-enough detect magic was cast on it, you may get hints of there being dormant abilities, but for now, it's just a Moonstone Rapier.*

"Interesting. There aren't that many gem dragons in my world, but I have encountered one or two in my journeys. I believe you've already met one of my friends in the tavern; Phantom, or Phantomizakell, as he prefers when he's in his draconic form. This," he gestures over to Shade, "is Shade, my closest companion, and friend for nearly 150 years now."

With that, Shade pads over from the dummy she just finished dispatching, which clatters to the ground in a heap of various pieces of armor. Hello again, Caelum was it? Shade says telepathically in sylvan. It's a pleasure to meet you formally.
