*Hello! I'm sorry I was gone for a long time, but I'm back! Maybe. I don't know. We'll see. Probably only on this thread because it's slow. Anyways.*
Deep below the new mountain, an Atlas that was tunneling into the rock goes dark, its signal no longer transmitting.
The Mantis watching over construction via a tablet notices this, tapping on their tablet screen a few times. "Curious----" They tap two spots on their tablet, activating two Nova which zoom past them into the Maintenance Tunnels.

The Nova eventually reach the area the Atlas was digging in, revealing a collapsed wall which seems to lead to an ancient looking stone tunnel. Carvings cover the walls and ceiling, but the floor is unnaturally clean and smooth... There is no sign of the Atlas.

One end of the new tunnel seems to have collapsed... but it looks almost intentional... The other end leads to a pair of doors, blown inward off their hinges, with a stone statue of a frightened human miner staring inward, pickaxe brandished like a weapon. Beyond the doors is darkness.

Inside there is a large stone cavern with one metallic wall that bows outward at a slight angle. A large rend in it leads in and down to a metal corridor filled with metal statues of people. Some of them are running, some fallen to the ground, some turning with rifles of some kind in their hands, and all with terrified expressions on their faces. They're dressed in different clothing than the miner, and seem to be tethered to the metallic floor by strands of metal. The only rust here is around the edges of the tear.

The one that continues on finds more corridors like this one, slowly curving in an arc through the heart of the mountain, as though whatever this was was long ago buried. Eventually it arrives at an open doorway that emits a dim purple glow.
The Nova that remained behind catches a faint purple glow from behind it before it's feed goes dark, and it stops transmitting.

As it enters the room, it sees a massive glass orb hovering in the air with what looks like purple lave sitting inside. A thin crust covers it in places, dappling the purple light it sheds. The wall looks unscratched.

As it enters the room, it sees a massive glass orb hovering in the air with what looks like purple lave sitting inside. A thin crust covers it in places, dappling the purple light it sheds. On the side of the orb is an inscription in Primordial: Fuel Cell 3,753. As the Nova draws near, the lava ripples... And, defying gravity, rises up to slam against the glass wall. The wall looks unscratched.
