He’s the one who freed Obadiah from servitude to Mephistopheles (which made him late to the battle of Lesta which allowed Calius to cause much destruction), and ended up unintentionally releasing the hellfire spirit in Obadiah, but I left the tavern before that one could be resolved… Damn this shit used to be one cool story.*

*Oh ok. Here, I’ll give you a bit more on Solanar.

Solanar was actually Calius’s adopted son, infected with hellfire and infernal magic and basically turned into a devil murder machine. Ended up breaking free from Calius only to get snatched up by the gods and given the spirit of Exaos (brother of Ao, the overgod, also known as Baator and creator of the Hells and most dark planes) to wield and fight for good. Travelled thru time, keeping his identity concealed and keeping the fiends and other evil forces in check (killed multiple demon lords and archdevils) but eventually Exaos started corrupting him and he got more brutal and generally an ass. The story of him at the tavern was him returning to fight Calius in the guise of a righteous paladin, but eventually getting more corrupted by Exaos and constantly alternating between tragic good guy and brutal jerk (everyone started getting annoyed here cause I didn’t reveal he was getting corrupted, they thought he was just a dick).*

*Yup, I had a massive fight with Chris and both of us came out of it looking bad. Chris lost control of the tavern and I got shunted aside, basically both of us lost. Also everyone started hating Solanar cause see my above post*

*Never managed to actually fight Calius and finish that plot, that adventure just kept stalling so Solanar just messed around doing random things and then I left. Pity, it was an epic story.*

He’s the one who freed Obadiah from servitude to Mephistopheles (which made him late to the battle of Lesta which allowed Calius to cause much destruction), and ended up unintentionally releasing the hellfire spirit in Obadiah, but I left the tavern before that one could be resolved… Damn this shit used to be one cool story.*

(Wasn't he also resistant/immune to most if not all damage?)

The hate was due to the fact he’s single handedly responsible for all the powercreep rules in all the taverns now lol, as a character he was one of the most important in the OG tavern plots (he’d probably be top 5 most important ToAT characters alongside Calius, Atemos, whatever that elf commoner Chris played was called, and Obadiah). He did have one of the best stories tho, which I can’t take credit for as TTB, Cyno, and a bunch of others shaped it as much as I did. *Nonmagical, yeah. And also fire, necrotic, and poison. Honestly it was his nuclear damage that set him apart from all the other god level characters in the tavern and was a problem. It was only after he started his descent into evil plot that everyone started hating him cause they thought he was just a jerk.*
