Chiming in here to say hi! I'm actually the CEO of TabletopTown, and I found our name mentioned in the forums here. I'm so glad that you think what we're doing is cool. We're trying really hard to be modular and system agnostic (in part due to the OGL), and we're working on better support for more complex character sheets. We also are working to get the 5e SRD on our app soon, so at least you'll have a character sheet template to work from. If anyone wants to join in on a game there or has any questions, let me know!
And to clarify, we make our money through taking a cut of marketplace transactions, not from ads or selling your data. I do realize that that's very easy for me to say, but we're trying to be as transparent as possible, and you can check us out here, or poke around on our discord. (We also aren't technically sponsored by Paizo, though we'll have both Pathfinder and Starfinder on our app soon.)
Anyway, the game you all are building sounds pretty cool, and for those that are interested, we'd love to have you try TabletopTown out, and we're always looking for feedback and suggestions!
Hey there! I’m glad you heard about our little thread! I’m certainly interested in a game on there if there are community ones!

It's 108 pages. :D
Only 2,200 comments and part 2 of a thread lol. :)
Anyways, it's great to see someone from the app interacting with the community, though I think we may be doing the game through PMs here.

I agree completely. It’s a good sign for their management. I’m definitely going to try playing on it a bit and anyone who wants to is free to join me.
Holy cow, I did it. I fashioned a 5e vehicle combat system that works with existing vehicles (you have to add two scores, one based on an existing score and the other made up about how hard the thing is to drive), operates on a per turn basis, and stays within the general ethos of the 5e game.
It blends in directly with overland travel speeds, and is impacted by weather, even on a turn by turn basis. Covers air, sea, and land vehicles. I can actually do a chase, with PCs jostling around and taking low point damage.
I *did* add a peculiar skill set up (Piloting), but otherwise, it plays just like regular combat.
I need to figure out how to tweak the running someone over damage, though.
One complaint: "Why isn't there anything in the table for speeds over 125 miles an hour?"
I gave my best side eye and said "this is a fantasy world. Folks here are used to speeds of 60 miles a day."
Also, do not get hit by a train. Just... don't.

Question: If you had to get hit by a train, what kind of train would you pick? Toy train is too easy.
More serious question: When was the last time you drastically reorganized your room? I just got a bed frame for the first time in years and it required a surprising amount of moving stuff around. (My room is one of those sliding block puzzles, though.)

I hate rearranging furniture, so it’s been over a decade.

A bullet train. So fast I wouldn't have time to feel the death.
March, 2023. I reorganized my entire house, with only my guest room and the guest bath untouched.
My living room is set up so that 8 people can play D&D on an enormous table that I can set up six of those poster sized sheets of grid paper on, and still have plenty of room, lol. (it is two coffee tables slid together). This is separate from my TV/gaming area (which is silly since I only play one video game), and my dining area (which can normally seat four).
My office / virtual gaming area was split into a library and Printing area and my actual workspace. Kitchen was redone so that I can cook and talk to guests at the same time while having access to all my cooking toys and tools (and as my stress relief is cooking, not gaming, I have a lot of them). I inherited the Born To Feed gene.
I reset my bedroom to be able to roll out of bed and get ready for the day more efficiently, as well as provide a home for my crafty ambitions (which are few and sadly neglected).
I am likely to do some tweaking in December, lol.

Train question: Probably the time traveling ghost train of Wales. If it is a ghost train, it might be incorporeal.
Room question: I share a room with slobs. I would count every day I have spent cleaning our room as drastically reorganizing. However, the last time furniture was moved about was about four years ago when we moved in. I don't like reorganizing big things like furniture though. I just don't like that type of change.

Probably a CGI one. It would leave me with a great action sequence and no injuries.
I think it was a month ago that I last organized(?)
I reorganize regularly because there is always a better way to do things (or so I tell myself)

Bedroom not been touched in eons.
Living room got an upgrade in 2020, due to the wife's health. So that resulted in the reading room (as I call it, just a second living room, really) got a small change.
Kitchen got a change in like 2018 - but it was just yanking out the dining table because our senior dog was having trouble on the tile, so we put down a rug to help.
My room, the computer room, got a change in 2020 - shifted things around so that my desk wasn't facing the window since the sun comes right though that blasted window.

If I have to get hit by a train, make it the dog train. The reasoning seems self-explanatory.
I reorganized my bedroom a couple months ago. Not well, mind you, but still. My 9-year-old water bottle with 8-year-old water in it is going to stay in the same spot on the dresser until it's seized from me or global warming evaporates all the water on Earth. I didn't move any furniture around, just things that go on and in furniture.

I kind of always wanted to do a train adventure, mostly so I can make stops at different cities and settings and do like side quests from their modules. Does that make sense?

I have always wanted to do an adventure that runs up to a reasonably high level. So far I haven't played in a game that has gotten past level six. I also want to travel to the Feywild.
