The other guy though… he’s a tough fella. He’s busy working on his fifth manuscript, a Twilight fan-fiction/sequel series written in verse. While he does, he is listening to a mix of modern rap and hip-hop with a bit of Taylor Swift thrown in (post 2020 Taylor). He’s dressed in his favorite pajamas and relaxes by bouncing on the exercise ball he calls a chair. On the wall is a poster of the cover of his favorite RPG system: Call of Cthulhu, and under it is a file of all his characters: every one is a joke character or an optimized one.
So, one of my players who had left (what I call "The Work Game" because most of the players are/were co-workers) had left the game a few months back because he'd been playing D&D for a long time - and wanted to play other systems (such as World of Darkness, which was more his thing). He recently approached me and asked if I would run a game of the fan-made Star Wars 5e game. I said sure, and invite people from the work game. Everyone was interested, except one - well, she was interested, but she was getting all packed up for her travel.
So I had everyone make characters on the SW5e site, and it's cool - but it's not like D&D Beyond at all. It doesn't automatically include proficiencies and such (even though you select them, it doesn't add them to the character). So the first part of the session was everyone fixing up their characters. Now because I hadn't checked anywhere - I used used the Beyond20 plugin to roll into the Star Wars Discord channel I made, so everyone had to manually type the command /roll d20+(whatever) - where as everyone was just used to how efficient D&D Beyond was for rolling. So that seemed to be the roughest part.
Everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves - enough so that we might evolve this one shot into a monthly game (taking place of one of the normal Work game D&D sessions), so that way, everyone doesn't need to commit to another night of gaming. Just once a month we play Star Wars rather than D&D.
I had even made a Star Wars scroll before the game...
I did some digging after the game - and was surprised that Roll20 has the Star Wars 5e stuff on their site (considering it's fan made). And I discovered how to import characters into it because the SW5e site has an export to Roll20 option. So going forward that is going to make dice rolls infinitely easier.
Question: What's your evil twin doing right now? What are they saying?
We all know that Sposta's is rooting for the Pirates.
My evil twin is sitting on the couch playing video games and there isn't a single book on his book shelves. He doesn't have any pets, can't appreciate good art, enjoys math, probably plays an instrument well (in that he is my superior) but he probably has horrible music taste and doesn't like swing. He probably has a huge collection of incredibly expensive shoes he can't wear because he doesn't want to ruin them.
And worst of all... his hair is cut short. (shudder)

um, I am the evil twin.
I have a shirt and a sweater that says so and everything.
Sorry, that's my bad. I should have worded it more inclusively.
Question: What's your mirror twin doing?
Near as I can tell, she's swearing I will burn in hell for all the horrible things I have done, while inventing some rather impressive new curse words.
Hard to tell precisely -- this is the third chest, and so the wood had to be thicker this time.

This has probably been said before, but are you currently reading any books? If so, which one/s?
I just read Animal Farm, and have just started 1984. Be wary, BB (BoringBard) is watching you!
Fiction-wise (LOL) I am currently reading Guardian of Torments by Michelle Manus, Sleep No More by Seanan McGuire, and Spider and Frost by Jennifer Estep.
Non-fiction wise it is a stack of reports that used up all my laser toner in my printer and sits seven and change inches high next to my bedside. It is the most boring crap I have read in years.

House of Leaves is excellent. The only part I would describe as difficult is some of the content, particularly regarding Johnny and his interactions with women.
I'm reading Worm, the web series. I also just picked up The Long Earth on sale, but I haven't started it yet.

Never read Worm, but yeah, Johhny's pretty creepy. It's the writing style that really gets to me. It's a big book, and while it is incredible, it makes me uncomfortable in all the wrong/right ways.

May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.
It's wonderful in its playfulness. I was constantly impressed by the way it kept revealing optional rabbit holes to go down if I wanted to, and every time I did, I got a new perspective on the story.
I decided to go all-in at some point and started taking notes, which I tucked into the back cover when I inevitably lent it to a friend to read. Speaking of which, I should remind him to read it or give it back lol

To answer the least favorite monster question from a while ago that I can't find: medusa.
Not because I have any issues with the monster itself (in fact I quite like it), but instead because MEDUSA was A PERSON. The creatures are called gorgons, of which Medusa was one. To call every gorgon a "medusa" is to marginalize the entire species. I'm sick of it. Just because gorgon is the name of a different monster doesn't mean this atrocity is justified.

This has probably been said before, but are you currently reading any books? If so, which one/s?
Just finished the second book of Dragons of Fate from Weis & Hickman. I was trying to read it slowly. Like to make it last so I don't have to wait so long for the third book.
But I couldn't. Got through it too damn quick, because I couldn't put it down.
About a year ago, I bought this exact copy of the Chronicles of Prydain from Lloyd Alexander (https://www.amazon.com/Chronicles-Prydain-Lloyd-Alexander/dp/1250000939) - because I remembered enjoying these books as kids. And I am in the process of writing a kid's book - so I began reading The Book of Three and plan on reading them all while I wait for the third Dragonlance book. They help remind me how to write more geared for a kid's/teen age audience, which is definitely what my story is geared for. (Originally written for my friend's young son who has Down Syndrome).

Right now I am reading Undaunted Courage by Stephen E. Ambrose. It is a historical narrative about the Lewis and Clark expedition. I don’t usually read historical narratives, but this one was highly recommended and I think it is pretty good.
I am also reading Outlaws of Time by N. D. Wilson. This one is a simple, fantasy time traveling western and is pretty fun. I really like the author’s other books which is why I am reading this one.
I recently finished A Monster Calls by whoever it was that wrote Chaos Walking. It was incredible and is definitely one of my top ten favorite books. I was almost in tears by the end of it and it has been awhile since a book has made me cry.
There is also a Brandon Sanderson book, Mistborn, that I have started and need to continue.
And then there are the volumes of comic books that I devour in order to increase my knowledge of the subject. I am trying to write a comic book series and so I wanted to become more familiar with the genre. I've read every Hellboy I can get my hands on, I'm starting another Trese, have been reading through sections of Sandman by Neil Gaiman, and I hope to start V is for Vendetta soon.
I feel you! It’s been recommended to me forever and I’ve finally taken it off the shelf and started. And wow, do I love this book! For deep analysis and a look at how insane I’m going because of it, DM me!
Other than that, I’ve picked up a fan-made series of an old favorite tv show, Psych, and I’ve been doing deep reading to help with lore, worldbuilding, and general how-tos of many very narrow subjects. I’m also completing a reread of Brandon Sanderson’s works, which has gone on far too long now.
