Ok, so, for those who remember, a long time ago, in a land far, far away (not really, it was a couple of months ago in this thread) I assigned the active participants in the thread each a race and class based off of their personality (or the part of it i could conceive) and their post style. we've had a few members join and I've gotten to know the veterans of this thread better, so Imma do an overhaul. feel free to use these as legendary adventurers in your world (thats what i'm doing)
-AEDorsay: Wood Elf Transmutation Wizard. A former writer whose books were so popular that every time they went into a city they got mobbed, so they took up adventuring. they wear artfully torn robes that were mangled by the paparazzi.
-SirTawmis: Beasthide Shifter Battlemaster Fighter. a grizzled veteran of war with a love for colorful, illustrated stories.
-ChoirOfFire: Tiefling Eloquence Bard/Fiend Warlock. a former human acolyte of a sun god, who caught the attention of an archdevil who made a bargain with them to expose the church of its misdeeds. so they became a tiefling & burned the church to the ground.
-Fry_Doodles: Goblin Scribes Wizard. they use drawings to make magic, and could cast 9th level spells if they wanted, except for 1 thing. the more powerful the spell, the longer the drawing takes to make, and they are too impatient to finish a drawing and end up frying the doodles with fire bolt
-IAmSposta: A minotaur genie warlock. a unicorn headed genie who is their own patron, who during a time of disaster and mayhem, took a group of refugees into their sanctuary where they were safe. very bad at giving advice, never let them become a therapist.
-DrakenBrine: Dragonborn Fathomless warlock. a topaz dragonborn who fell in love with a curropted kelpie (beatiful lady made of seaweed), so the kelpie granted them powers in exchange for serving their dark whims
-Gnomarchy: forest gnome assasin rogue. a revolutionary whose sentences are as short as their targets lives
-KayakingPoodle: Gnoll Ranger. they are a protecter of boats who travels up and down the river, keeping the beasties away from the boats filled with shipments
-Quar1on: Aarakocra lunar sorcerer. there three forms correspond with their three different spellcasting focuses: an origami duck (new moon), a pair of scissors (Crescent), & a moon rock (full).
-WoodsGirl0402: firbolg trickery cleric. they have a strange obsession with spiders, arachnophobes beware.
-Nothic2SeeHere2: not a character, but rather an NPC nothic that pops up from time to time and gives strangely good advice in the form of cracking dad jokes.
-Wsyperra: a willowisp (reskinned fairy with telekinetic feat) shepherd druid. they are friends with many small forest animals such as rabbits & rats
-The_summoning_dark: unknown race shadow sorcerer. a skeletally thin, tall figure whose features are hidden by a grinning white mask, they disappear sometimes and then return. its strange, but once they return, an NPC always get murdered, and the_summoning_dark knows exactly where to find the body
If i forget anyone let me know!
Wow, this always happens when I ain’t around. I do think you did a pretty good job though.
However, you and others, are spared a crazy story written by me based off the character he assigned.
In an ancient tongue, no longer spoken (similar to Nordic and Vikings) - this land was called Kath. In ancient stories there was a land that was lush and green, full of fauna and wildlife to supply all. However, according to the stories of long ago, this "paradise" was ripped apart by "angry gods" who each tugged on each side of the continent, claiming it for themselves and their people - and the result ripped Kath apart.
While Kath is a fictional story about greed and it's disastrous results - when this continent was discovered, it resembled much of what the fabled Kath bore - lush lands, deep forests, mountains that brought down fresh water, flora and fauna and wildlife in abundance.
Also Kath is home to large amounts of oil and precious metals. dwarf and human mining companies have come to Kath, disrupting the wild-life and native people. the Naufa and Loraf. Naufa are a people cursed by the gods, once devout servants of the deities who tore Kath apart, they were cursed by their angry lords, causing them to be warped into half-beast folk, their bestial nature unleashed and their once refined society in shambles. they have rebuilt themselves, giving away all pride and arrogance in hopes that their deities, which they worship despite their curse, will take them back. Loraf are people made from plants, for when most of the Naufu's intellect was striped of them, it was cast away and absorbed into plants awakening the Loraf. the Naufa and Loraf are waging a guerilla war against the mining companies, trying to drive them away.

Rules should be broken, so the next is Hasala, which is relying on a concept called phonoasthetics and also has the a pronounced a different way each time, lol.In order: Father, Fate, Fat.
Unfortunately, it will have to wait to be seen - because I have to wish all of you a happy holidays should this be a time of such for you.

As in Racaraide? It is an old forgotten word for an honored bard whose verses either uplift with praise those that they deem worthy or tear down the reputation of those who aren't. I chose it because it is really old and almost forgotten and I don't see many other users with it here.
I chose skald as I'm a musician, and skald is a nordic term for one who plays music or tells stories and poetry, and I see music as a form of poetry, it's basically just the closest they had to bard. It was formerly (Perfect) but I prefer skald

With the number of posts I have under my belt it’s no question whether or not I got them all, so I didn’t feel the need to advertise it. Besides, “perfect” sounded to stuck up. I couldn’t go without a title, the system wouldn’t let me. So I picked the most basic title that was available. And besides, aren’t we all “adventurers” in our own way through this epic journey we call “life?”

But we all have our crosses to bear, do we not?

Yeah, it's not even in the dictionary I think, it's a subclass in AD&D I'm pretty syre though, that's all I could find until I scrolled way down and found that it's sort of a synonym for rhapsodist.

For the forum, I had picked Lyrist because it was the closest that really meant anything about writing.
And I also, happen, to write lyrics, or poems, or an odd mixture of both, quite a bit.
