When targeting the black lizard with a weapon attack, a creature can try to aim for a specific, vulnerable point on its body. It has three options, the head, the throat, and the tail. If it chooses to aim for the head, the lizard gains a +2 to AC against the attack. If it hits and the attack does at least 5 damage, the lizard is stunned for one round. If the creature aims for the throat, the black lizard gains a +5 to AC against the attack. On a hit, the black lizard is treated as if it had vulnerability to the damage.
If the creature chooses to aim for the tail, the attack does 5 less damage and if it hits and does damage, the lizard’s speed is reduced by 10 until the end of it’s next turn.
Heightened hearing.
The black lizard can automatically hear all creatures moving besides black lizards within their area of tremorsense, and it knows their exact location. A crawling creature can make a stealth check instead. If a black lizard is deafened or takes thunder damage, this trait as well as it’s tremorsense doesn’t function until the deafened condition ends or the end of its next turn after it takes thunder damage.
Pack Tactics.
The black Lizard has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the black lizard’s allies is within 5 ft. of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.
Clumsy climber.
The black lizard has evolved specifically to climb on the many poles that remain from the ruins of the towering buildings that they call home. When not climbing on one of these poles, they move at half the speed and must make a DC 15 dexterity check at the start of each of their turns they remain climbing, losing grip and falling on a failure.
Actions
Bite.
Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit:1d6+3 piercing damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 16)
Overwhelming numbers (1/day).
If there are at least 2 other black Lizards within 30 feet of the Black Lizard, all black Lizards within 30 feet can use their reaction to move their speed and make a bite attack.
black lizards are commonly found in the shaded citadel and subterranean regions. They are one of the most dangerous lizards, mainly because of their sheer numbers. They aren’t as organized as orange lizard packs, but they all hunt whatever they can find relentlessly. They are blind but have better hearing than any other known lizard. Large noises can temporarily deafen them, making them effectively useless for a while.
The king doesn't mind as long as its not in the way of anyone. You do notice a perfect little corner though, not too far from the guilds entrance but also close to the kingdom market, that's out of the way and comfortable.
Yondor points, and they head to the corner, taking a liking to it. He plants the staff, it enlarges, and the tree fuses perfectly with the ground, casting a nice shade around the nearby area. Before they even get to the top of the tree, a small group of children have started playing around the base of the trunk. "Just be careful there, kiddos, the vines can be grumpy sometimes!"
Before he goes inside the little hut at the top, he pauses, glancing at the children once more. He strokes his chin thoughtfully, then goes inside.
The wizard leaves Jasper to finish setting up a few tables and things for experimentation. He starts looking for any public gardens or such around the Guild, needing a few ingredients.

purple. It’s the color of royalty and also the color of snails. Also lavender specifically with a dark background is super spooky.
and also yellow, less so than purple though. Yellow is the color of horror. Change my mind.
Purple is so top tier for so many reasons
Yellow goes well with purple imo. Also, I can agree with that. Reminds me of an ai art piece a made a while ago:
Raincoats. Raincoats are the most strangely horrific thing for no other reason than the fact they are in so many horror movies. Like IT and Coraline (yes Coraline is a horror movie, nobody can convince me otherwise, its about someone impersonating their mother to steal their eyes)
Purple, mostly cause it's my favorite color for magic. Plus it also fits into clothes, outfits, eye colors sometimes, it's just a good color wether you're going for that deep royal purple, a light lavender or whatever. If I need a magic user, especially one that uses a magic type that's considered less flashy or heroic (necromancy, enchantment, etc) purple will be mixed into their character design in some way
The spider king is able to avoid the grapple, and continues his charge. He see's Yvonne loading the crossbow, but he doesn't bother to dodge or shield himself. Even if she hits him 10 times, he's not stopping till she and the king are gone.
*Good morning, everyone!*
Yvonne fires her crossbow at the Spider King, knowing that while it won't do much, it may buy Elsa time to escape: 20 to hit, 3 piercing damage
Elsa continues to pursue him, attempting yet another grapple: They don't have any weapons, so this is the best they can contribute to the fight. 12
*Hey!*
That hits! The spider king grunts as the bolt thumps into him, slowing him down slightly (disadvantage against Elsa's grapple).

Also, all that talk on colours is so cool actually. @Yons sig: It seems purple is 4th for me, still an awesome colour. Midnight Blue, Sunset Orange and Emerald Green are at the top for me!

I agree; the colors discussion is pretty cool.
As for my answer to Yon's question: I'd say I have three main favorite colors, those being purple, silver, and black.
Purple because it can fit multiple different vibes, whether you want a more dramatic and royal-seeming color, or a mellow and calming lavender hue. Plus, in the context of D&D, there's purple worms, which are one of my favorite monsters simply because of how fun they are to run in combat.
Silver, because it reminds me, in a sort of roundabout way, of themes of virtue and truth. I'm also kind of a big nerd about fae in media and the older folktales, and the silvery color reminds of iron and- well, silver- which a lot of fae have interesting interactions with. The whole fae correlation might have something to do with those themes of truth, now that I think of it...
Finally, black, because it reminds me of the night sky and space as a whole: Another of my favorite things I tend to geek out about. The fact that there is so much out there that we haven't even begun to discover, and that everything is so inconceivably gargantuan in scale... I find it all exciting. It's also the color of ink, which reminds me of books and writing and drawing.

Cool lizards, but they’re all pretty similar. You should give them more unique traits, unless you have to stay super true to Rainworld.

I just randomly started thinking about what colors I associate with different types of magic-
Necromancy is either deep purple, black, or white.
enchantment is usually either lavender, bright pink, or royal purple.
evocation is usually green/teal.
abjuration is neon blue.
illusion is grey.
conjuration is orange/purple.
Transmutation is bright yellow.
divination is also either bright yellow or a muted purple/pink.
is there any logic or reason behind this? Probably not!
