The ship in the distance has moved much closer. As they near the Barnacle, you can see sharp weapons shining in the sunlight. The ship has a black flag, with an insignia of a coin and ring falling into a gilded goblet. The Captain notices the flag and mutters a curse under his breath. “Not Shieldings. Anything but Shieldings . . .”

Suddenly, with a grand BOOM, a cannonball is fired. It arcs through the sky trailing strange green fire before striking the ship just a few feet from the steering wheel, burying itself in the wood.

Everyone nearby to the Captain, make a Dex save.

Captain: 11

Jody (ship cleric): 15

The god larva, seeing the cannonball arcing towards the ship, sinks several 40 feet beneath the sea in preparation.

Im at the bow, "Oh you messed up b*^&#es (i can say it if I censor right)

Mound’s voice is warm. “That coin is more than enough.” He takes the platinum and passes the electrum back to the ferret monster. “Welcome aboard the Bloody Barnacle. I do hope you enjoy your stay.”

 That ricochets off the armor and flies into the sky. The scroll in your hand suddenly superheats, reading a new message “never try that again unless you wish to be struck by lightning.” Take 7 fire damage and make a dc 14 constitution save to avoid dropping the scroll

 I cant take fire damage so 15

I drop the scroll and quickly pick it back up hiding it in my suit.

A plump gnome strides to the prow of his ship, carrying a large steel megaphone-like device.

The green fire is spreading, catching on to the wood quicker than any ordinary flames.

 One of the Kuo Toa, the Archpriest, rises to the surface of the sea and summons a jet of water at the flames in an attempt to put it out.

Jody dodges out of the way of the cannonball, but the Captain is caught right in the center of it. He lets out an anguished scream and tears off his overcoat, attempting to rid himself of the flames.
