In this world, names are more than just letters strung together and given to someone. Names are an imprint on the soul. Every name has a meaning, and every name has power. Each name allows you to do things related to the word. For example, the name Lyon or Leon (you can probably call what it means) would give you powers relative to lions. Be it summoning lions or becoming one. In dnd terms this would allow you to summon and transform into different lion statblocks. Names have a limit to how many times the power (NP for short) can be used
300 years ago, the last war ended. The entire world was at war, countries be wiped from the map. The few leaders who remained pooled all of their resources together to create a utopia. A truly perfect city, The Last City. Through a system of strict rules peace shall never again be threatened. But what about the people that didn’t like the rules? What about the criminals? Well, they get sent to Tartarus: a combination maximum security prison, garbage dump, and city. Some of the people there truly do belong in such a horrible place, but a high percentage of people are wrongly accused, petty criminals or just people who spoke out. That, is you. You lost a trial (A one sided and unfair trial, albeit) and got tossed down the massive pit leading down. You’re stuck here for a while. Better get comfortable

Was discussing the New and Upcoming Tower of Lore reboot with TheSunkenSailor, TheTrueJester2 and Jobah619Official (you should totally check that out when it drops btw) and just as a random example for a lore idea somebody could post about I came up with a space adventure type thread, but everything's made of cake. Sailor seemed to really like the idea, even though it was a totally random idea I had, but I thought I might as well bring it to a wider audience and ask: Would you guys play in a lighthearted sci-fi adventure thread in space as astronauts, but everything's made of cake? Examples I used are shortbread space suits, sprinkle stars and cream filling galaxies!

You either die a slow, painful death, feeling as if you’re rotting from the inside, coughing up blood and hardly able to function. Or you suffer a worse fate. You become transformed into an unholy beast, ravaged by sickness and pain, twisted into an eldritch abomination. Know simply as The Damned. The only thing curing your suffering is the flesh and blood of the uninfected. The world has fallen into disarray. No cure for The Plague. The Damned slaughtering the innocent by the hundreds every day. Death is imminent. No point in trying to fight it. No one will help you…except for a few. They call themselves The Hunters. A collection of the world’s bravest fighters, most ingenious engineers, and brightest scientists. bases scattered throughout out the world, do they find you half dead? Or do you seek them out yourself? This world is cursed, and if you join, it shall be your duty to cleanse it. They also have benefits, like healthcare, dental insurance, housing and food!
