I just now realized, school mascots are basically just fursuits that the schools themselves supply to specific students.
I never used the point of school mascots, especially not the people who chose to be one. What’s so enjoyable about spending over an hour in a weird costume, doing a weird dance thing or whatever. And the inside would be really hot, so it seems like it would get super uncomfortable super fast

I know folks who graduated years ago and still are crazy about their high school. Once in elementary school, there was someone wearing a mascot costume on the last day of the year. Outside on the field, right in the open. In extremely high summer temperatures.
