I took a look at the PHB and I created a Gloomstalker Ranger character using the new rules. I guess I’m looking forward to the DMG more than the PHB because I prefer lore to rules. How about you?
Idk if it’s worth it to invest in the new rules, recently our DM has actually been using Elder Scrolls which seems like a cool system. It seems to me the new version just is the same thing with slight tweaks and switched up cons and pros
You’re basically not wrong. I just bought them because my group still plays D&D and our DM wants to use the new rules. They are kind of expensive ($30 for a new book just for a digital copy on DDB), so if you guys are using Elder Scrolls you might be better off just skipping them. I am looking forward to the Greyhawk lore and the new cosmology stuff in the DMG though.
