I have an angry thing to say. If you are not in the mood for something angry and pointless, do not read the following spoiler. I do not want an argument, I just want to share an opinion.
Power scaling is BS. You put two characters in a white room when almost any good fight avoids the white room scenario. You say "look what this guy did once" and act like there was no build-up, they just pulled that crap out of nowhere and could easily do it again. There's no narrative weight, just "who can take more Big Bangs teleported into their skull, who crushes more planets with their pinky toe, who's FTL is faster?"

I can see why you think that, but some people find it fun. It definitely has its flaws, but most of those can be attributed to the person doing it and not the practice as a whole. That’s just my take on it though

I accept and acknowledge your response. I am happy to let others engage with it. I just really needed to say that.
I'm Fry, a doodler, writer, aspiring singer/songwriter, and sort-of youtuber (check me out!) just trying to spread a little positivity wherever I can<3 Soli Deo Gloria(Sed servus eius crustulum vult) I'm a disabled, neurodivergent, artsy dumpster fire, and somewhat of a clown. But, I'm also god's favorite princess and the most interesting girl in the world. Also been making some more Heroforges, taking advantage of that aquatic expansion. I'll probably take some time to post what I've got, but curious if there's any special requests.

I am a little confused by the wording in the spoiler but I think I agree, infact level 10 and up kind of annoy me because of how powerful I am. Same with videogames that are just like, “grind for 50 hours so you can stomp on the newbies and so on” with barely any skill in the game. Level 1 is probably my favorite level, honestly. I really like having a sense of danger and knowing that strategy and teamwork is important because charging head on isn’t gonna work every time even if we’re higher level. I don’t like D&D’s leveling up system as much as others
(I still don’t get what the whole white room thing was explaining though)

The thunderclouds broke up And the rain dried up The lighting let up The clacking shutters just shut up
Kinda random, but if you like lyrics you should listen to Plainclothes Man by Heatmiser (Elliot Smiths old band) it’s lyrics are just really good. (Also, my god, please listen to the whole thing, I hate when people hear the first three notes and they’re like “not my thing.” Like give a song a chance to progress for Pete’s sake, that’s like leaving a movie after the first 10 minutes, you just can’t judge like that. Unless you hate the singer in which case I don’t think we can be friends. (Jk)

We aren’t talking about dnd in any capacity. We were talking about power scaling, which is the practice of taking two fictional characters and pitting them against each other, seeing who would win in a fight based on what we’ve seen them do
