Sooo I went to the doctors yesterday and some stuff happened and now I'm on antidepressants so that's nice, no adhd diagnosis yet cause they didnt have a specialist in but I have finally begun the long journey towards balanced brain chemistry

Indeed I do, I assume you're new around here? Just saw the low post count and wanted to welcome you to forums. I'm not on much, was much more a part of the community in days past, but am happy to welcome you to our humble forums

On the subject of reading, I am a man of culture as I am currently reading The Basic Works of Aristotle, I find philosophy fascinating

Don't you just love running around, blasting demons full of lead?
Also, I have decided to try my luck at making a thread (because let's be honest; a lot of it is luck based) and make my Kobolds with Cannons thread!
I’ve come to the conclusion that making a thread is a combination of 4 factors
1. Premise. The thread’s premise must be fun and somewhat original to Adohands. It won’t work well if similar threads are alive
2. Luck. You gotta hope that people like the thread and actually click on it
3. Popularity and Notoriety. People more well know are more likely to have popular threads, as that’s more people that may click on it. It also helps if you’ve made other threads before, so people have something to expect
4. Advertising. You gotta make the fact that you’re making a thread and it’s basic idea known. If people don’t know it’s coming, or what it’s about, they may not end up posting on it
Just an idea though. I could be dead wrong

O sorrow, I have ended, you see, by respecting you, because I am certain you will never leave me.
Ah! I realize it: your beauty lies in the force of your being. You are like those who never left the sad fireside corner of my poor black heart.
O my sorrow, you are better than a well-beloved: because I know that on the day of my final agony, you will be there, lying in my sheets, O sorrow, so that you might once again attempt to enter my heart.

Second person OP. The whole OP doesn't have to be in this, but if you put an intro or something that's saying "you" directly, it might make people more likely to interact. Probably because psychology stuff.
Gimmick. Not necessarily needed, but makes the thread more unique and therefore more likeable. Think the Smorgasboard's power points system or the Dome being a thread themed for combat.
Threads can succeed without this or die with it, but these are just some things I noticed. Also, yes, I find it very enjoyable to blast demons full of lead.
Edit: And you don't have to do any of these-- just do what you want to!

Also true. Now I feel like making a guide to thread making. Like a way for people to know what they’re actually doing

Hiya folks, I come bearing news from The Archfey! *Unfurls a scroll*
Ahem. Arch has decided that they will be making a Camp Half-Bloodesq thread once they come back, and are looking for possible mods. As for the amount, I don’t know for sure. Because Arch is watching, they’ll pm you and you can have yourselves a little chat. That is all!
