Idea: Video game (genre doesn't matter, just a video game in general) with a meta aspect of "you've taken control of the protagonist" in a Deltarune-esque fashion. However, the protagonist speaks to you with the shared consciousness whenever you mess up (or whenever something comment-worthy happens in general).
Like, imagine struggling with a boss and in the death screen you're just told "skill issue" in text that gets progressively larger each time.

It would be funny if they just had a really sarcastic and disagreeable personality. So you just have to deal with that critizing your every move. Or if it was a souls like, so you would die a lot
*Fighting a boss and you get hit* “Why didn’t you dodge?” *Die to a basic enemy* “Wow. I didn’t even know those do enough damage to kill you.”

Somewhere between a genius and a moron.
Empathy is hard
Be the change you want to see in the world. Or don't. That works too.

Yeah, lol.
*Doing a puzzle and taking a long time* "How is it taking you this long?" Then, as basically an auto solve feature if you're taking a really long time and struggling with it, you can be like "Alright, let's see you do it" and give them control for the puzzle, for them to then complete it extremely easily.
*Keep dying to the exact same enemy* "Hey, here's a tip. If you dodge their attacks, you won't take damage. Hope this helped!"

Hi! How are you?
Hi! I’m trying to remain positive, although yesterday, for a multitude of reasons, was actually just horrible (I heard someone call one of my best friends a… very unkind word) but on the bright side, it’s the weekend now, i have Monday and Tuesday off for Martin Luther King Jr. day, and I feel very creative. I introed a new Will to the Smorgasbord, Aaravi, goddess of the Monsoon.

1. Oh. Welp, that's something. At least you're still positive, but if that isn't working then I hope you and your friend feel better soon.
2. Cool! I think I saw the intro, just haven't actually rp'ed on DDB for a bit.

yeah, I heard that you had taken a little break.
how are you doing?
Decent. I also have some school off for MLK Jr. Day, but only Monday. Still a day off, though, so not complaining lol.
I think I remember you talking about being a fan of Sid Meier’s Civilization games, right?
I may or may not be getting Civ 7 when it comes out.
i also just might be misremembering everything, however.
Nice!
I started with Civ II when I was ~10 after my mom got it cheap. Been doing Civ V after getting it on a sale some years back.
Me and my father decided we’re gonna buy it after he found it, and I saw it was of the same genre as Total War Warhammer 3, the game I mentioned earlier, being like a civilization/kingdom building turn based strategy. Although from what I’ve seen, Civilization is with real empires and leaders, right?

Yep Civilization uses real world leaders and cultures.
Civ VII will be a bit different in that. Previously you chose a civilization (example: Egypt) and played with that civ and leader (ex: Ramses) throughout the whole game. In Civ VI there were some minor tweaks with giving some civs different leader options. IIRC both Gandhi and Chandragupta are leaders for India in Civ VI. (Gandhi is a traditional leader in the Civ series, known for his love of nuclear weapons.)
But Civ VII is decoupling the civs and leaders a bit. So you'll choose a leader, such as Octavius, and then you also choose a civ for that. So you can choose to be Octavius of Rome. Or you could be Octavius of China possibly. And then as the eras advance you change your civ. So if you have a lot of horses you might have an option to become The Mongols. Or you might go with a different option.

I see… I heard they had Catherine the Great (the coolest Russian Empress) and that was what made me really want to get civ 7, but I hadn’t known about ending the connection between leaders and Civs. Interesting!
and I heard about Gandhi and his… nuclear tendencies.
I was playing Dragon Heist with Syrupsoft the Soda Strugel (strugels are short, halfling-like ferretfolk) a bit ago, and he ended up threatening to cut off a guy's fingers if he didn't shut down his own tavern and come work for Trollskull Manor Inn.

Perfectly reasonable. Gold star!⭐️
He's adorable for a former collector/demolition expert for the mob. Nowadays he just runs a soda shop out of an inn and desperately gets as much money as possible so he can prove that ice cream and soda can go together... because his beloved won't be allowed to marry him if he doesn't.
It's very lore-heavy. He's got big glasses and a bow tie.
