Would anyone read a fanfic like this? it’s a hunger games au, where instead of holding actual hunger games, the capitol tries to keep morale up by scouting talented young musicians and having them compete as idols in a massive, Eurovision style tournament. Peeta’s family never approved of his musical talent, so he put his name in the pool in secret. Katniss never really considered music, she was too busy keeping her famil-y afloat, but she put her name in a few times in exchange for food. The reaping in this world is actually desirable, after all, what kid doesn’t want to be a star? This story would be a lighter commentary on the music industry, and have more of a lighthearted feel. Nobody dies, they just get sent home.
