Hello. I got a random PM from someone asking for feedback on their project about anime
Same (they've sent it to me thrice now). 99.9% sure they're a bot, just ignore it.
How're you doing, Paco & Redacted?
ohh okok. Yeah the website was basically just pure AI lmao. I"m doing pretty good, wbu? Bout to go into a Government and Economics class.
lol. AI's everywhere nowadays, isn't it? Just perching itself atop the digital world. And for me -> in the middle of History. Just finished a bunch of easy stuff on the good ol' Declaration of Independence. (it's starting to feel like we redo the American unit EVERY YEAR -- like guys I get we live in America but this is the same thing yearly :/)
And now, I'm also considering opening a Cult of Krampus on Adohand's. The holiday spirit's certainly gotten to me, in the sense that I'll go around whacking the other cults with a stick.
wes (he/him, bi) — DM, romantic, a little bit eldritch The Soft in the Storm, your Friendly Neighborhood Storysmith, The Fae Conspirator merry christmas to y’all, and to y’all a good night (i’m tired ok?) you all are the best people I know — thank you coming forth to rebehold the stars extended sig here, check it out!

do they at least add more detail? American history is cool but you do have to switch it up a bit

I find American history extremely boring, I'm not in this class of my own volition, but my class is specifically made to be easier because our other classes have pretty big workloads. This class isn't too bad though. But doing the same thing for a subject over and over is annoying. I remember in elementary school we did the same Spalding curriculum every year and I never even studied for the tests and got 100s

Not really. Just "read the Bill of Rights", "read the Declaration of Independence", "read X Y Z that we read last year". We don't ever get past ~1800, it's always just the Revolution. I'd just like to go a bit further along...like if we were learning about the expansion to the West, I could justify reading Steinbeck in class.
And: I agree with Paco. American history's never been a topic of interest. Too prolixious for me, and just overall...it's a lot of "wow, we (GP)ed up here, don't do that again guys."

Ah yeah that stinks. In my class we're currently going over Federalism and Anti-Federalism. We read a lot of primary and secondary sources. And I'm pretty sure we're going to get into the 20th century, at least in economics.

that’s valid, though I will say a whole lot of history (even non American) is kind of “wow shouldn’t do that again.” It’s a huge part of history really, in the same way that a person sees their mistakes and grows I feel like history is that but on an entire nation/world/regional level.
The revolution is cool but I feel like the 1800s and above had some of the most interesting stuff. Westward expansion in of itself feels like there’s a lot more to learn than the revolution, and so much happened alongside of it
1900s is also really interesting, maybe my favorite, but that’s what I did most recently so I’m slightly biased cause I remember all of it

If I’m being annoying, tell me to shut up. Seriously. Just say “Bananer shut up.” And I will. For a few seconds!
Don’t listen to the folks down at Adohands. It’s good for me to overwork myself.
