Setting will be fighting "We are borg" modrons. And want some weird effects to get into that 'lawful very orderly' feeling to use as lair actions that set special rules for the round of combat.
Example I've thought of: No more moving diagonal on a grid. Only N/E/S/W movement for that round.
I also thought of "every roll is average" but that would mean the monsters would all miss their attacks that round while the players all automatically hit and that's not good for fight balance.
