well, basically you just eat a lot of food.
The history behind it is that the pilgrims had a meal with some wampanog natives a long time ago, so today we all eat a ton of food in reminiscence of that. and its like "oh look we were so peaceful and coexist" ... and then fast forward and the settlers killed everyone and stole their land. The entire history is mostly just colonist propaganda, its the classic "America are the hero's and kind to everyone" narrative
To be clear not everyone American is endorsing the colonists, but the average person probably is (specifically older people, and republicans)

I'm guessing its about the sport, but I've never really been into boxing. I feel like half of everything is staged and I don't really care to see two strong people smack each other
I'm sure at a local scale boxing is much more fun, if violent. It feels very much like a manly man sport...
