Good morning everyone. I've decided to just give in and make another homebrew class: the Sin Eater, a wielder of vile darkness. But the thing is, these guys are empowered by what is essentially pure evil, and the sin required for this kind of supernatural ability would take centuries of doing impossibly evil stuff to accomplish. The solution? Take the sins of others.
This class is intended to be similar to the Paladin, being a tanky half-caster with support abilities, but with an interesting twist: this class is based around sacrifice. Make custom weapons that deal incredible damage at the cost of self-damage, take conditions and spell effects off of allies, empower your spells with your own hit points, and take massive hits for your party members.
I may remove spellcasting and make them a full martial class, but this is an early stage in development, so I can throw out whatever ideas I want.
