im with Nikoli, youre a cool guy Baalz, and im sorry we made you feel like an outcast
i usually feel like an outcast in every group im in, so i get where youre coming from
your characters and ideas are always amazing, and you are a good person
It's not that you guys were hostile or anything, and individually almost all of you were pretty accepting of my... absurdities. It was more the zeitgeist that felt wrong for me.
Like, the whole group was designed to be exclusive. I'm not that type of guy. Sure, it's fun to be special, but the tavern itself felt like it was an actual presence. A xenophobic, crawling thing that I was intruding on, myself a foreign body in a hostile corpus that hadn't yet noticed me.
You didn't do anything wrong. I'm not the kind of person that gets along with, well, much of anything. As you say, I have good ideas, but it boils down, once again, to going against the zeitgeist too much. My ideas are wild and disturbing, and they push away swathes of people, carving through the lowest common denominator and leaving no one but the few with very open minds and strong stomachs.
I have nothing against most of you, and even the few I don't actively like are really cool. But you guys weren't for me. I like the Spider Guild and Dragonslayer Club because they are so accepting. I guess the best way to put it is that I like guilds, not clubs. Guilds build off themselves, and they expand like an organism. They are designed to make themselves stronger through diversity, incorporating the ideas of those within. If you fulfill the criteria, you're in. Clubs want to be exclusive. They grow slowly and steadily. If you are different, you don't belong.

I understand that and felt the same way about that tavern. The way they were exclusive and ignored people was frustrating, but I decided to just ignore it (as well as I could) and pretend that boundary wasn't there. I have found that the awkward barriers in real life are hard to break through, but if you just do it you enjoy yourself much more. I tried to apply that there as much as I could but because this is online they had to take the action to notice you and that often did not happen.
Your sort of things do often scare people away, but I admire it when someone makes their own art and does it because it is the type of art they like, not an attempt to please others. I ain't a huge fan of body horror and I don't understand the culinary arts, but I try to keep an open mind and appreciate your work, even if it isn't my style.
Mm ok

Just a question, what tavern are you talking about?
Adventurer's Legacy
It's a PM tavern that was supposed to be an extension of Bullethawk's legacy, thus the name.
