Halloween Christmas Valentine’s Day Kwanzaa
Doesn't Kwanzaa specifically celebrate a real-world culture? I want to avoid those holidays, since my plan is to personalize each one to the Nightmare Hold, or at least the Domains of Dread.
It does. So yeah, maybe Halloween Christmas and Valentine’s Day. And May Day (May 1 spring holiday). That’s culture neutral.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
What I mean is, that seems like it would be impossible to convert. It's celebrating a culture I don't know and, more importantly, likely cannot be added into a Fantasy setting very easily.
Juneteenth and Martin Luther King Jr. Day were tough choices, but I realized they were about events that I could replicate. Valentine's and St. Patrick's have commercialized trappings I can steal. But I had to skip some other holidays, like Independence Day and Flag Day, since I couldn't come up with a way to add their cultural significance to the Hold without undercutting another holiday or changing the backstory of the Hold significantly.
What I mean is, that seems like it would be impossible to convert. It's celebrating a culture I don't know and, more importantly, likely cannot be added into a Fantasy setting very easily.

Boxing Day might not work, but I just looked at Diwali and it looks pretty cool. I'll need to do a little more research, but I think I can do it.
