Wendigo had a beef with Cyno and didn't want to cause trouble so he left.
It was a pretty big beef, and I know since I was caught in the crossfire multiple times.
I would explain what happened, but I don't feel like going into it yet again.

Another explanation, although it doesn't seem to fit in this case, is that someone directly clicking "reply" will give you a different notification than just posting in the thread.
Knowing nothing of the situation you're discussing, all I can thinking of is the Algonquin mythos of the wendigo, basically an evil spirit that takes people over that commit cannibalism and has an insatiable hunger. The Wendigo, along with the Navajo Skinwalker, are two of the most popular Native myths in the cultural mainstream. (Although, to no surprise, a lot of accuracy to the original mythos gets ignored.)
