With the business, big thing I'm looking at in regards to pbps is some weekends where I'll be very busy (doing something I enjoy and getting some cash) and in combat-heavy campaigns, that can be a hindrance. On the flip side, PBPs have a very high attrition rate. (Hoping one I'm in that looks like it might die can course-correct. We'll see.) I did give some thought to maybe throwing my hat in the ring for the Dragon Fights, but that's naturally going to be near pure combat.
Yeah the Dragon fight was designed basically to see how good the people at dragon slayers club were at combat and also so I could test out some cool unique dragons. But for Have you Found it? I don’t think it’s that combat heavy and it’s more mystery and roleplay, based on what I’ve gathered so far. And I’m probably going to try getting some players in a few days possibly to start running it because it looks awesome.
It's interesting with campaign preferences. PBP seems to favor the RP aspect (not as structured so easier for people to post throughout the day) yet at the same time classes are geared towards combat. I sometimes feel like the Military advisor from Civ II. (particularly at 0:38)
One thing I've seen, that I'm quickly growing fond of, is the idea of group initiative. Where people form a block of initiative wherein it's fluid on who can go. So you can make your attacks without having to wait for one specific person that's before you posting. (Making it quicker for things to progress.)

I’d probably say my favorite fiend is the Merrenoloth. Super cool, they can be paid to captain your ship which becomes their lair.
