I just said it looked cool to be a mod, I’m fine with not being one. Actually, I’ve got a lot on my hands lately with TGOS, and I’m going into the more intense areas of Fencing. I’m also getting further into my writing, sooo I’m too busy to be a mod.

Thousands of years ago, the Demon King brought the Warped Forests from the Netherworld, choking the earth and our cities. He reigned for hundreds of terrible years, devouring entire nations indiscriminately. But one day, an unnamed, half-blooded outcast rose from the wreckage and slew the hateful Demon King where he stood. The hero was named Lady Tristan, and she brought about an era of peace, progress, and freedom.
Prejudice is a thing of the past, and steam power holds the key to our future. By burning the possessed fungi in the Warped Forests, we can release their eldritch power into our machines. Since the forests grow so incredibly quickly, we'll never run out of fuel.
Our villages are small and many, but with our road systems we are never truly divided. We even got the spirits to help with keeping the roads clear. Of course, with the dangers the megafauna and flora pose to them in particular, they don't help directly, but they keep our people happy and safe in the villages. Machine spirits, mage spirits, fire spirits, artisan spirits, too many kinds to list... but we do not talk about the demons. They do not forget, and neither shall we.
Sounds awesome. If you ever want to get really into the fungal aspect of your world I suggest you read Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake. He is a neat mycologist but he is also an artist. His medium: fungi and decomposition.

I might pick it up sometime, but I haven't been reading many books lately. None of my literature has drawn my eye. I haven't even started the Artemis Fowl books I got for my birthday this year.

That's understandable. This may not be the case, but maybe you should try reading some classics and more literature that you haven't really explored yet. I have found that when my passion for reading dies down a bit, picking up something very different from what I usually read helps a lot. Classics are classic for a reason. They are usually well written and thought provoking stories.

The Netherworld is just a word for "the bad place," like hell or the underworld, but I might change it now, same with the name of the Warped Forests.
