Not from Rime of the Frostmaiden, the picture is actually from a D&D 3.5 book called Dragons of Faerûn. The dragon is named Arveiaturace and was known to occasionally roam the Sword Coast and the Sea of Moving Ice. Her lair was on The Ice Peak which was a volcanic island located some ways west of Ten Towns. So she could definitely fit into Rime of the Frostmaiden.
I like that dragon thing. Get one of those! become the best adventurer ever! Become so good at adventuring that you beat every dungeon. Now you can sit by the creek and fish, and pass out under the shade tree. Now that's something I can get behind!

I haven't played or read any previous editions, so I can't help a ton on that front, but I agree. There need to be official gem dragons, Great Wyrm dragons, and so on.
