i keep switching from "i feel so sick i wanna die" to "i feel find i wanna run around and go rock climbing" :P

I am gonna run a D&D campaign with some of my friends who are beginners soon, and one wants to play a boa (they asked for wild west), I said "No, if you wanna do that, you'll be underpowered. you can be a druid who is permanently a constrictor snake. on that campaign (it has fantasy to so yeah) I need a bit of advice.

hmm. not sure if this is relevant, but try a ppug weilding a cannon.

oh my brother came up with a campaign where the whole purpose is to deliver divorce papers to the villain but the villain doesn't wanna sign them and that's why he sends out monsters and whatnot to deter the players. 

thats kind of weird.

 I would explain to them that it isn't mechanically feasible to play a boat constrictor. Then I would show them how they could get one as a familiar, how they could transform into one as a druid, and how they could reflavor their spells to be boa themed if they want to. I would also show them reptilian races like the Yuan-ti or Lizardfolk, maybe they will be interested in those. 

If all that fails and you are willing to try to figure something out with them (remember, you are the DM so when you say no it should be no), you could look at the sidekick rules from Tasha's. They give you the ability to play simpler characters that can be built from the statblocks of weak monsters. It might be possible to use the constrictor snake statblock using those rules.

What I'm thinking is just druid but after every long rest they turn into a Constrictor

Emotion issue? Or some weird illness you've got?

maybe you should also give them pug as an option.

If it's they're beginners, I'd shy away from the boa. Possibly suggest an official race like Yuan Ti that's snakelike. That way you don't get over your head homebrewing for their first campaign.

Use the Plaintiff background from Acquisitions Incorporated. Or other things and just go full legalwork. :D

I think I'll just tell them that they could play as a druid, and that they just need to immediately wildshape into a boa, maybe they could have some reason for a humanoid form, like magic snek (which would help e explain the Int, Wis, and Cha!)

Edit: 'Enemy'? 'NO! BBEG!'

What level is the campaign? Since at low levels, gonna be hard to maintain perma-boa. And even Circle of the Moon needs lv6 to get the Giant Constrictor. (Granted you could homebrew a CR 1 version.)

 not giant, just normal size, and level- 5... after the first session (before it's done) unless they go- hmmm... what if I not listen to the sheriff? they'll be able to go giant
