What I'm thinking is just druid but after every long rest they turn into a Constrictor

If it's they're beginners, I'd shy away from the boa. Possibly suggest an official race like Yuan Ti that's snakelike. That way you don't get over your head homebrewing for their first campaign.

Use the Plaintiff background from Acquisitions Incorporated. Or other things and just go full legalwork. :D

I think I'll just tell them that they could play as a druid, and that they just need to immediately wildshape into a boa, maybe they could have some reason for a humanoid form, like magic snek (which would help e explain the Int, Wis, and Cha!)

What level is the campaign? Since at low levels, gonna be hard to maintain perma-boa. And even Circle of the Moon needs lv6 to get the Giant Constrictor. (Granted you could homebrew a CR 1 version.)

 ohhhh... what if I do two paths that effect how they are treated by the people? one good and one bad! I'll tell them to not choose an alignment at the start!
