At the beginning of my senior year I remember seeing some freshmen and thinking how young they looked.
And I think even after 18 my mother was still a bit offput the few times I'd swear in front of her. (Just common phrases and definitely not *at* her.)
What I'm getting at is that the teens are an awkward time where you're simultaneously getting more autonomous but simultaneously on the younger side.
So I definitely get your frustration. And I'm guessing you and your friends probably swear around each other. But I also get where your parents are coming from.
Hopefully you guys can come to an understanding. It's never fun to have tension over things.
