Both. Kamakura, Tokyo, Hakone, Osaka, and Kyoto to name a few. I did have a bit of sushi, but it was mostly sushimi and that's far worse IMO.
Sushi is only gross when you live where I do in the US -- in the middle of the country, far from any coastlines. That means any and all sushi you eat is shipped from far away, and therefore the risk of foodborne illness dramatically increases.
Raw fish sounds gross, but it really isn't any worse than the hyperprocessed seafoods we Americans usually eat. Don't knock it till you've tried it.
