Harry Potter would have been so much more enjoyable if Hermione was a Ravenclaw, Ron was a Hufflepuff, and Draco was befriended. Bonus points for non magic user friend (not used for comic relief) and is perfectly aware of the wizarding world (either squib, or has a sibling, predetermined friend, or cousin or something) I just think the story gets bland when your three main protagonists have the same core character traits
