uhhh i don't know -- i think the person assigned to me was new on the job and she tightened them more than you're supposed to. typically it takes less than a day for everything to feel normal, but it's been 24 hours and the pain is just worse so I dunno

drinking ice-cold water temporarily loosens the braces, helping with the pain. For the first few hours at least
