no no no no no. lets get this clear now. no mods said anything. this is me taking it down. also tarasque2897 said that they felt attacked
No they didn’t. And even if they did, that would be stupid
they said that i had made a thread that attacked them for being pan
That feels like a sarcastic joke quip to me.
Yeah it really does. Pancakes and Pansexual are two different things, that sounds like a very Tarasquey joke.
I know Tarrasque calls pansexual 'pancake' as a joke/nickname, it was all probably a simple misunderstanding that the threads didn't need to get deleted over.

When? They literally never said that. I think you’re misinterpreting their words and again, if you feel that your sexuality is being attacked by an argument over pancakes (which have existed before pansexuality) and waffles, you need to be more aware of the world around you
No, I think pansexuality came first.
First recorded use is in the late 1800s to early 1900s. The word pancake is much older.
then again this could be sarcasm and my IQ is like 2
Okay, let’s have a friendly spirited debate :) (no arguments plsssss) pretty sure a recorded use is not when it actually started, just when the word was made. So I’m sure there were other Pan people who called themselves Bi because there wasn’t a word for them.

You know what guys, I’m no longer going to ignore this. Everyone is sooooo hyped about it and think its soooo interesting because of all of the lore and special magic systems and fun creatures across its giant timeline, but…
Earth has terrible worldbuilding, y’all. Like, there are leopard-camel-hybrids with pet birds and giant fresh water fish that might breathe air and has power over electricity but no dragons? Or Krakens? or any other interesting sentient creatures besides humans. Boring! Don’t know why people like the worldbuilding project so much…
I dunno. It's got some of the classics.
A time when the land was fire.
A time when the land was ice.
It has the formation of life, yearning out from the sea.
It has the beginning of animals, Cambrian Explosion.
It has a fish era. Amphibian era. The rise and fall of giant bugs. Both in the sea and on land.
There's a great themed time of giant reptiles followed by giant mammals.
Then you get an intelligent race that rises up. Some inter-species conflict. And a surviving champion. Long time without written records to let other authors make their own stories in that time, while still having a strong theme.
And then, after long stretches with more themes than specific dates, you get a burst of recorded history to build off of and dive deep into lore without it being overwhelming. Farming. First empires. Legends of the ancients that still refer to even more ancient times.
More population. Bigger empires. Bigger things. More conflicts. Times of peace.
Now we're in a spot where the writers decided to start exploring what would happen as people became more interconnected and have laid the foundation for a space era too.
Earth has great lore.
I’m so glad someone appreciates the themes of the writing of Earth and views it as it was intended. I mean, I can understand people who dislike it, but I personally don’t.
One of my biggest problems with Earth's worldbuilding is that they literally can't decide the theming. Like, they keep reworking everything. If you want medevial stuff, add it as bonus content. Plus, the element system was so simple back then! Earth, air, fire, water. Now they replaced all of those with oxygen, hydrogen, etc. Lot more complicated and annoying to deal with.
Exactly! And I mean the ability to use certain elements to produce energy could be interesting, if there weren’t already so many ways that those silly humans make power! They need to choose which one and focus on it! Sometimes more vagueness In certain areas of worlds can be interesting. But they just keep having more and more detail and more and more stuff that isn’t necessary for it to be interesting.

You still have the OG 4 elements if you want them. But the expanded element pack really makes more sense and explained the mechanics of how things were working before.
Plus the medieval theme was limiting player options. So while you can still coat things in a medieval veneer if you want, the expansions allowed more exploration and advancement.
Y'all just sound like a bunch of gods pretending that Earth is a game, and are proceeding to argue about said game.

They exist, but they aren't considered actual elements anymore. I personally don't like them replacing a simple 4 element system with over 100.
Also, don't get me started on player options getting limited, or more exploration. They added settlements nearly everywhere, so it's nearly impossible to find anything new, and while back then you could have a classic sword duel to the death now you can't even punch someone without losing a ton of money or being locked in an extremely difficult to escape prison. So really we had more options back then.

But you said it existed before pansexuality, which probably existed first. If you think about many types of mythology, you’d find many examples of different gender identities, and I’m pretty sure a lot of Greek figures were pan, which means the concept circulated fairly early.
