Just watched Dead Men Tell No Tales. I expected low quality, and it was. I did want to see it just once though, but I’m pretty sure I’m never going to watch 4 or 5 again. The beginning is what annoys me the most, the drunken dull Jack sparrow gets his crew to steal the entire bank? I mean that’s practically a 4th wall break because no character would ever do that realistically. 5/10.
The beginning is hilarious to me. "There's a pirate and a witch in my shop!" "Well then, it's your lucky day!"
I lost it when Barbossa died though. He may've been a villain for the first few movies, but he was way too epic to hate.
I love in At World's End during Will and Elizabeth's marriage when he takes a moment, since it's in the middle of combat, to cuss out one of Davy Jones' men before continuing with the ceremony.
Will: [during the final battle] "Will you marry me?"
Elizabeth: "I don't think now's the best time!"
Will: "Now may be the only time! I love you. I've made my choice. What's yours?"
Elizabeth: [turns to Barbossa] "Barbossa!" [pauses, earning an outraged look from Will] "Marry us!"
Barbossa: [in the middle of a swordfight] "I'M A LITTLE BUSY AT THE MOMENT!"
