You have just left the tavern, and are walking down to the Waterdeep Harbor, being led by Jarlaxle Baenre. Do you want to discuss, or move onto the ship?

"So, I'm thinking of a comedy act for the crew, I'll start with some jokes like, 'Why is jetsam cleaner than flotsam... Because jetsam washes up on the shore.' get it? And then we'll move into music..." Nipperkin continues like that until they get to the ship. (I can move on whenever I just wanted to have this blurb)
whim is in the back of the group "so how is this thing gonna work. i mean like how big is the crew, are any of them spellcasters? what can you do?" whim, smirks at the last claim
After listening to the halfling talk for a while, Saiba interrupts him rather suddenly and asks "I'm sorry but in the chaos I never managed to learn most of the group's names. My name is Saiba. I'm more helpful traveler than adventurer but can handle myself in a scrap well-enough if necessary." Though he says the last part with a straight face, it's unclear to others if he's joking or not as the man is tall, powerfully built (even at the onset of middle age) and carries an array of weaponry and armor in used but well-maintained condition.
"names whim, first time i have done something like this... i think. i just hope we dont get into any trouble, that would suck" you can tell he is pretty lazy
The elf walks along, silent as he listens to the ramblings of the halfling. He finally speaks after Saiba introduces himself. "I am called Weizol L'varr, of the Veloe tribe. I am a novice of the Arselu'Tel'Quess (Great Art of the People, AKA elven magic)." It's difficult to say exactly how old he is (as is with most elves) but he speaks with a curt and serious demeanor.
"Names Nipperkin Brownbowl of the Sword Coast Brownbowls, husband of Gil Brownbowl father of Stout and Saison Brownbowl. Brewer, Dreyer and Bard all three."
(I'm on mobile, it's very hard to do the color thing.)
The elf doesn't seem inclined for casual conversation at the moment. He is just observing the others around him with a guarded look in his green and purple eyes.
(Feel free to keep RPing. I'm not antisocial or anything but Weizol is wary of the world outside his tribe. He'll warm up eventually.)
"It's a pleasure to meet you all," Saiba politely responds back to the group. Turning to Lord Jarlaxle, "Can you tell us how many men you have left and what you know of this banished pirate lord after you? Is it someone we may have heard of before?"
whim is in the back of the group "so how is this thing gonna work. i mean like how big is the crew, are any of them spellcasters? what can you do?" whim, smirks at the last claim
"No spellcasters aboard my ship, as of yet,"He states, not even looking back, "But, we are normally not in need of any."

If Saiba isn't able to learn anything about the pirates they face from Jarlaxle, he's content to quietly make his way toward the ship. He also has no issues with the Lord being a drow as he's fought with and against all sorts of creatures in the past and sees all creatures as generally the same.
After a brief walk through the grand city of Waterdeep, you eventually pass through the crowded streets, around towering humanoid statues, and through alleyways to avoid large gatherings of people around a black tower in the Dock Ward.
You make it to the docks. There are many ships around, of all shapes and sizes. Most of them have tall white sails, bowed sterns, and are shaped out of wood.
You see one boat that sticks out. It is very strange looking, made out of a dark wood, either spruce or dark type of oak. The grey sails are being pulled up, as if they're readying to leave. The crew is composed 100% of dark elves, wearing dark outfits of the finest silks.
What do you do?

Weizol is paying attention to Jarlaxle in particular. He seems both wary of and intrigued by this Drow.

(how big is the ship compared to the other ones at the dock)
"is that grey one one ours? please tell me it is"
The ship is a medium sized ship, about the size of a typical sailing ship.
"It indeed is," He nods, "Fellows, meet the 'Illantan Jewel!'"

"Pretty. Did you commission its construction or did you aquire it as part of your lordship?"
"I did neither," He states, "She was a gift. Now, come along. Waterdhavians may not be happy about a ship of drow lingering in their harbor."

(I will work on the assumption that this is something most people would accept for now)
Weizol waits for the others to walk ahead of him, only trailing onto the ship as the last of the group.
