New Dm here, felt like the best way to start is a PbP. A short adventure (Can be longer if players agree) needing 4-5 players. Rolling for the game is either here or game log. I would prefer that posting will be done at least once a day. Also, there is a possibility that you can fail the task given.
A party of adventurers have been sent on a task, an escort mission, quite a simple task for a group of adventurers. A noble half-elf needs help to get back home, to Melvaunt. On the way they must be prepared for facing trials and combat. Will our heroes be facing serpants, bandits or even assassins? When they reach the destination what will they find out.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Background: Cyrano had fled the svirfneblin city of Blingdenstone with the rest of his clan when it had been overrun by drow from Menzoberanz. In the confusion he and a few other deep gnomes were separated from the rest of the refugees. The group were caught by a drow patrol and indentured into servitude. He spent years as indentured slave. He worked in the forges as a tinkerer repairing odds and ends for the house that owned him. During a skirmish between his house and a rival house he was able to fake his death and escape. Knowing the only place he might be safe was the surface world he made his way there. He attempted to use his tinkering skill to start his own repair business but the fear of being discovered and returned to a life of slavery keeps him moving from place to place so his business ventures never seem to materialize.
Cyrano has decided it once again time to move on. He's found the best way is to join a caravan of some sort and blend in while making some coin as well.

Why they are there: Heidi, to the absolute dismay of her family, and their quiet caravan… always possessed a cruel curiosity- a need to know things, and a singleminded devotion to obtaining the answers she required. Her intimidating nature was always somehow amplified, by her relatively diminutive size, catching people off their guard, making them uneasy. Perceptive enough to realize her presence was no longer desired at home, Heidi fell in with a band of miscreants, and quickly excelled at the interrogations which fueled their banditry. A recent ambush left many of her companions dead, and scattered the rest, so she finds herself displaced yet again. Heidi is now determined to seek out the great Temple of Loviatar, the Resting Place of the Whip, in Melvaunt. She has been having strange and powerful dreams, and she intends to find answers- one way or another…

Back story:
Teresa was once a farm girl known for her kind heart and unusual strength. One day, she encountered a poor old woman on the road, heading to meet her pregnant daughter but was stuck by a muddy stream. Without hesitation, Teresa offered help and carried the old lady on her back.
The stream ran swiftly, and the old lady seemed to get heavier with each step. Even a large fish attempted to bite Teresa's toe. Despite these challenges, the girl overcame all obstructions and safely took the lady to the other side of the stream. It was then revealed that the old woman was the avatar of Eldath, the mother of the waters.
Teresa, touched by this divine encounter, became the servant and cleric of Eldath. Since that moment, she has dedicated herself to helping those in need and spreading the word of the goddess to the world.

Fjörn is a gifted musician, a natural, his music is like a birds song. He doesn’t read music nor has he had lessons. His wit and his acting however, are an outlet for a deep anger and jealousy. His performances usually target someone whom he mercilessly taunts ridicules and mocks, at its worst he has been asked to not return to some taverns inns even a few small communities. Raised as an only child to a single mother in a country shack, his mother would go to town every week for a day or two. When she would return they would both go a visiting neighbors she would buy food clothes supplies, sometimes her visits would take awhile, but they always had enough. When his mother got sick she didn’t take it very well, she turned on Fjörn told him to leave and never come back… he never did.
It is a bright sunny day in the city Phlan, the birds can be heard chirping and vendor hollering their goods in the market, when suddenly you a loud crash coming from across the hall in the adventurer's guild. You look to see a man yelling at a soldier. from this distance you can vaguely hear, "...home now!...attend... understand."
"At it once again I see. The man doesn't know when to put down his pride.", a man site at the table next to yours chuckles as he discussescusses the happenings with his mates.
As one who believes information is the best currency, his curriosity is piqued. Cyrano leans in slightly to eavesdrop on the conversation. The deep gnome strains to hear every detail.
The lanky elf strolls down the lane, peering at the varied and colorful wares being offered by the vendors hawking their goods. Passing a kiosk selling baked dough stuffed with meat, cheese and spices, Vadania's face loses it's crooked smile for a moment as he considers his empty coin purse. Not to be ignored, his stomach gurgled and growled as he picked up his pace down the lane.
What’s this now a commotion just a short ways off. Well let’s go see what all the fuss is about. Fjörn makes his way over near the adventurers guild to get a better look-n-listen.
What a beautiful day. Uh oh I think that’s the guy I roasted at my last gig… Fjörn discreetly pulls his hood up and slips into a seat at the table just in time to hear the conversation next table over.
If Cyrano glances he sees a young redheaded man hood up with unusual orange eyes, trying to avoid notice. He also appears to be geared up ready to get outta town.
Hearing the arguing sounds, a young girl raises her head from her plate. She has ash-coloured hair and sleepy blue eyes. Munching on her food, she listens to the conversation for a while. Swallowing the last pieces of bread and wiping her mouth, the girl stands up.
Now, you can see that she has the height of a little giant, at least a head taller than most adventurers in the hall. As the girl walks toward the yelling man, you can hear the floor creaking under her foot. Bending down a little, she asks the man with a calm and gentle voice, “Excuse me. Are you having any trouble, sir?'"
A small, unassuming figure, makes their way towards the kerfluffle. The unmistakable clink of mail can be heard, beneath their cloak, and a small round shield hangs upon their back.
Arriving upon the scene, the diminutive spectator deftly unlimbers the whip coiled at their side, and cracks it straight up in the air! The sharp sound echoes throughout the guildhall, creating a momentary quiet in its wake. It is into this brief pause, that the figure addresses those creating all the brouhaha, adding their voice to that of the gentle giant:
“I was taking my tea, and I could not help but overhear your raucous exchange. Just what is it that warrants this disturbance… and does it pay? I confess, I am dreadfully curious.”
The orator lowers their hood, revealing a youngish halfling woman, with mousy brown hair and piercing grey eyes. Her eyes do not waver, as she absently coils her whip and hangs it at her side, obviously awaiting a reply.
Cyrano & Fjörn: "...understand that he has to go home but no one is willing to take him, he can't blame the poor soldier now, can he. The city has enough problems nowadays we can't be sending soldiers off, even us adventurers are being paid to do work.", a red haired dwarf states from the next table.
Teresa: "Oh dear lord! Please donot sneak up on me like that.", the half-elf put his hand on his chest and takes a few deep breaths. "As for you question, yes there is some trouble.", he finishes talking.
Hiedi: " One after another", you hear him mutter then he faces you, "I have toreach home in 3 days, no one is willing to take me . Everyone is busy helping the town or something. I am even willing to toss the some money. 100 GP each. It's not even I'm asking to takeme some place far, just to Melvaunt. I don't want to hear another word about a caravan, such a menial way, I am a Noble for god's sake..." He continues to ramble to you.
Vadania: When you enter you see a decenlt full hall and drinks being had. You notice a man rambling on to a halfling.

Vadania hears something louder than his complaining stomach! Raised voices. A crack of a whip.
The elf practically flies toward this momentary distraction. 'Whatever is happening in the middle of this city?' he pondered as he raced forward.
